Spend there recently few days skiing over new years time. Slopes were very well prepared and actually queues were not too long which was great particularly considering time of the year. Its a place where you can easily do over 50km a day skiing and never be bored of it! And views are just breathtaking

I've skied a lot, well over 200 weeks but oddly enough I'd never skied Cervinia until this winter. 16th December week so not everything was up and running in the resort. Snow fall had been excellent prior to arrival but the notorious wind had been high too. That made all the off piste rock hard wind blown crust.
However the piste conditions were excellent. Inspite of the high winds the resort kept the slopes pretty much ice free throughout the week. Great variety of slopes though it was very quiet. Don't know how it would be when it's busy. I didn't find many challenging black runs but again not everything was open and I didn't have time to check out much of the Zermatt side.
Lifts were pretty good, not many closures apart from when the wind was high. Good layout providing alternative routes too.
On slope restaurants and cafes, much better quality and value than you find in France. Friendly staff too. That was a big plus on a couple of the super cold days we had. Some great end of day bars up the slope and down in the resort too.
Had to use a couple of ski shops for things and again I only have good things to say.
We stayed up on the mountain in Lo Stambucco Hotel at the top of the Plan Maison lift because we were prioritising our skiing that week rather than apres. I mean, if you want to get first runs every day, then that (or Super G) are the places to stay.
Overall had a great time and I'm going back for the last week of the season but this time staying in the town.

About to return to Cervinia for our fifth time, we love it for the stunning views across the alps and at the base of the Matterhorn, you can pop over to Zermatt in Switzerland for a change of scenery if the mood takes you, the restaurants on the slopes are brilliant, we are staying at a ski in ski out hotel which is family run, we will keep returning until we are too old to ski.

A great family experience. Hotel at the bottom of the nursery slopes. Good restaurants and bars. Great place to ski and board.

Really enjoyed the experience. More family focused but loads of slopes for beginner entry level skiing.

My favourite resort but only because of the huge ski area, especially if you add in Valtournenche and Zermatt. There are some amazing long runs in cervinia alone though, so dont have to visit these other resorts. The slopes in all three resorts are well groomed. Only down side is if it's windy, which affects the lifts.
The town isn't very large and caters very much for skiers in the winter and mountain biking/walkers in the summer. There is everything from pizza takeaway to expensive restaurants.

Brilliant resort for late in the season. Goes up to some seriously high altitudes. Late in the season it was not at all busy and extremely affordable. You won't be able to ski into Zermatt however unless you want to sell an arm or a leg, as the lift pass for both areas is more than double that for just cervinia. It has a great average piste height and some lively aprés. I loved the views the most, seriously shear and gerougeous Valley, right under the Materhorn. Watch out for the wind! It was by far the windiest resort I've been to, and this is reflected by frequent closures, so watch out for this.

Cervina is great for on piste skiers. Loads of fast reds, good on mountain restaurants and bars, and optional connection to Switzerland

We enjoyed Cervina, our experience could have been better, but that was the weather, nothing to do with the facilities or the people. The 1st day we were there we skied fine, in the afternoon there was a white out and the mountain was closed. The next day it was too windy to open any lifts, the next day one lift was open due to the wind, it was chaos. When the wind finally allowed all the lifts to open, we found all the fresh snow had been blown away. Decent town, lots of good bars, ski instructors were some of the best we have. I'd definitely go back, and just hope the weather was kinder.

Its a good resort but some of the lower scores are only due to the fact that we stayed there between christmas and new years so accomodation options were limited, all the restaurants were fully booked and slopes were busy. The weather was absolutely amazing with a whole week of sun. Slopes were icy at times and the Zermatt side got really pumpy by the end of the day while Cervinia side was actually managable. Tip for buying a ski pass on a busy times - once you have the skipass card you can top it up online as the queues were looong and wasted more than half an hour every morning.
