What Skiers Say About Cervinia - Breuil

Cervinia attracts intermediate and advanced skiers drawn to high-altitude, snow-sure terrain with wide, well-groomed red runs and access to Zermatt via the lift connection. Reviewers consistently mention reliable snow conditions, quiet pistes, efficient lift systems, and good-value Italian restaurants both on-mountain and in the village. The resort suits families and those seeking relaxed skiing over lively nightlife, with après described as limited but friendly. Wind is frequently cited as an issue, often closing upper lifts and the Zermatt link. Most users note the resort is better suited to skiers than snowboarders due to flat sections, and some mention a lack of challenging terrain on the Italian side alone.

Resort - 8.5/10, perfectly groomed runs, great powder sections with good off piste, only issue was some lifts were shut due to not enough snow
Accommodation - 9/10, extremely good value, breakfast and dinner served off a chosen menu, very cosy and comfortable, very good rooms and excellent hygiene, only issue was WiFi occasionally dropped
Lift access - 9.5/10 all the lifts that were required to go over to Zermatt or to valtoneche were open but as I said before some of the lists were shut due to not enough snow

Cervinia is a great resort and feels much more relaxed (quieter pistes etc) than other resorts in the alps. Being able to ski over to Zermatt is very cool and it’s good to ski over there in the morning but then pop back to Cervinia for food/drinks as it’s much cheaper! There are loads of food options, and whilst the apres isn’t as busy as other resorts it is still good fun.

I went with my daughter. The hotel was good, with food and sleeping arrangements above average. The skiing was excellent, easy access to lifts and all ski areas. The village had lovely eateries at good prices and the weather was perfect.

Such an amazing mountain. Backing on to Zermatt in Switzerland, there was so much terrain to explore, the people were so lovely in town and the apres was insane. Love Cervinia and the small yurt bar in town were so much fun after a full day on the mountain.

It’s a great resort, you can ski to Switzerland, bug mountain options, nice restaurants, more for family’s and couples than parties of people for apres

One of the best resorts I've been to - high, snowsure and with a great lift system. The town is more family orientated but good restaurants, a couple of good bars and really nice vibes.

We stayed a week in Cervinia and the skiing was outstanding. I would highly recommend pre booking an air bnb in Zermatt for at least one night, to give you a chance to really make the most of the slopes over there. I always felt rushed when we were in Zermatt as the lifts are a bit slow and any change in weather and they close the big lift that takes you to the top which is the only one that can get you back to Cervinia. Stunning place to ski, highly recommend.

Cervinia is a fantastic resort, a hidden gem in my eyes. Fantastic slopes, a niche but great apres scene and some brilliant restaurants too. Much better than the overpriced overcrowded resorts in France.

Quite a small town and small apres bar but still very pretty. Very easy to get to get onto lifts in the morning. Although apres bar small, still fun and dancing on the bar. It does get cold very quickly because the sun goes behind the mountain early. Good mix of runs although i wouldn’t take beginners here. Harder skiing on the swiss side if you get a pass for both areas. We got the last lift to the top of the mountain and skiied all the way down, make sure you don’t miss the turning back to cervinia at this time of the day becauae otherwise you’ll end up with a very expensive cab drive home from the swiss side. Very high resort so does make you a little out of breath at times.

This was the best ski hill I have ever visited. We had the view of Matterhorn on every run on the hill. The runs were spectacular and so much fun. I would 100% recommend.

This resort has some stunning vistas when arriving at the peak on the border of Switzerland. While sharing an extensive lift network with Zermatt, this area is often overlooked . The extremely long and undulating groomed runs on a clear day are a dream to carve and if you’re lucky you can witness some of the local ski teams practicing their moves in sync. The Apres if not to be missed as the food arrives at a crossroad of Italian/Siss-German. Like many resorts in Europe, exercise caution when skiing off-piste (which is anything not marked as a groomed run). Either trust in your own skill and look out for hidden hazards or take a local guide who can find you the powder you’re looking for.

Easy resort but good access to Zermatt. High and good snow so good for early and late season. Much cheaper than the Swiss side.
