Jackson Hole, Wyoming 🇺🇸
"Jackson Hole has some of the best terrain in the US. Steep tree lines, sick cliffs, and amazing smooth & fast groomers. I love riding here and can always find a powder stash or two in the trees...If it's not already dumping outside."
Sölden, Austria 🇦🇹
"Solden is amazing - nice sunny, wide runs, and great glacier skiing! Amazing for intermediates, some great wide blue runs to practice technique on. It also has the longest run all the way back from the glacier, which is great."
Bansko, Bulgaria 🇧🇬
"Be warned, the Gondola queues in the morning are epically long. Found the pistes to be poorly signed, with not enough piste maps or clocks at each lift. There seem to be live bands everywhere, so putting up with dodgy covers is part of the evening."
Saint Sorlin d'Arves, France 🇫🇷
"Amazing, family-friendly resort. Some of my favourite runs in the alps - great variety and enough challenge for advanced skiers. Lots of options for reasonable lunches - baguette and a glass of rose for €10. The village is very nice with many options for great food!"
Sestrière, Italy 🇮🇹
"Ski area and lift facilities felt very poorly thought out and dated. A lot of the lifts are very slow, if they were running at all. This led to serious bottle necks in certain areas of the ski area, where waits could reach up to 30 minutes at busy times."
Pila, Italy 🇮🇹
"Pila is a hidden gem. Has the altitude for reliable snow. It is great for families. Food... it's Italy... it's amazing! It's a quiet resort which is great for beginners to intermediates. Advanced might find they've completed the resort after a few days, but even then it's got some great runs worth sessioning to find the best side hits and spots of powder off the sides."
