What Skiers Say About Sun Peaks
Sun Peaks attracts primarily intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families being a significant visitor group. Reviewers consistently highlight the large terrain spread across three mountains, minimal lift queues even during peak periods, and exceptionally well-groomed runs. The resort is described as quiet and uncrowded compared to other BC destinations, with a small pedestrian village offering ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Common criticisms centre on limited restaurant options requiring advance booking, lack of vibrant nightlife or après-ski atmosphere, and variable snow conditions with some seasons experiencing rain or thin coverage. Several users note the resort can feel over-groomed for those seeking powder.

The layout of the shop is great for getting lots of runs in.
For anyone who wants to reach the top of the world in sun peaks your best bet is to use the chairs from the village.
it looks like a winter wonderland. They have a helpful grooming board, so you know which runs have been groomed. They get good snow, and all of the staff are nice. There are so many lovely places to get food and drink in the village. A little pricey but worth it.
Due to the family friendly nature of the mountain, apres arent really a thing. Bottoms bar, 5Forty and Masas bar and grill are the go-to spots. Theres quite a lot of accomodation on the hill for that ski-in, ski-out vibe, but it fills up quickly so booking in advance is pretty necessary.
Great hills for beginners, but there are so many runs that advanced boarders can easily find a near empty run. Mount Morresie (cant remember the spelling rn) was practically untouched. 10/10 recommend
