What Skiers Say About Sun Peaks
Sun Peaks attracts primarily intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families being a significant visitor group. Reviewers consistently highlight the large terrain spread across three mountains, minimal lift queues even during peak periods, and exceptionally well-groomed runs. The resort is described as quiet and uncrowded compared to other BC destinations, with a small pedestrian village offering ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Common criticisms centre on limited restaurant options requiring advance booking, lack of vibrant nightlife or après-ski atmosphere, and variable snow conditions with some seasons experiencing rain or thin coverage. Several users note the resort can feel over-groomed for those seeking powder.

Mostly groomed runs. Mix of blue and blacks. Reccomend intermediate to advanced levels. Could use some more capacity of restaurants. Reccomend reservations. Bars available and decent grocery stores. If not staying in hotel in village then air bnb is super popular.
Short waits for lifts. So many runs, you will feel like you are on your own private mountain.
Restaurants are good, though very crowded at lunch time. Great options for eating bagged lunch, indoor or out.
Great apres vibes, lots of things to do outside of alpine or Nordic skiing- snowshoeing, dogsled tours, snowmobile tours, village sleigh rides.
The skiing was amazing from the start
and we had just a marvelous time! We really had an amazing time
At Sun Peaks!
But the skiing is awesome - when the snow is good, obviously.
There's lots of terrain and lots of options.
I'd def go back.
