What Skiers Say About Sun Peaks
Sun Peaks attracts primarily intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families being a significant visitor group. Reviewers consistently highlight the large terrain spread across three mountains, minimal lift queues even during peak periods, and exceptionally well-groomed runs. The resort is described as quiet and uncrowded compared to other BC destinations, with a small pedestrian village offering ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Common criticisms centre on limited restaurant options requiring advance booking, lack of vibrant nightlife or après-ski atmosphere, and variable snow conditions with some seasons experiencing rain or thin coverage. Several users note the resort can feel over-groomed for those seeking powder.

Great slope-side cafes and restaurants which are all reasonably priced and serving great local produce.
It was Feb 6 2025 with beautiful sunshine but a very cold morning.
Reportedly there was not as much snow as normal but I wouldn't have noticed.
Conditions were good. There were no lines.
All was fine and had a great day.
Turns out a movie was also being filmed in the village that day.
Friendly people.
The terrain is mainly groomed with a few places to go off-piste or moguls, some park. Tough snow conditions past couple of years but I mainly ski packed groom runs anyway.
Modern infrastructure. There is night skiing as well .
Less expensive than Whistler.
Fewer crowds but still offers excellent dining options
Accommodation is very reasonable in comparison to other resorts
