What Skiers Say About Verbier

Verbier attracts primarily intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, with reviewers consistently noting excellent off-piste terrain, challenging itinerary runs, and a large interconnected ski area across the 4 Valleys. The resort is frequently described as expensive across accommodation, food, and drinks, though many feel the quality justifies the cost. Advanced riders praise the steep mogul fields, tree runs, and backcountry access, while several note limited beginner-friendly terrain. Après-ski receives mixed feedback—some enjoy the bars and nightlife (particularly Farinet and Pub Mont Fort), while others find it less vibrant than expected or note that it happens in town rather than on-slope. Lift infrastructure is generally efficient with short queues outside peak times, though the main Médran lift can be busy during holidays.

Not cheap but fantastic! Snow machines had done great work, lifts efficient, no queues, could get into restaurants, had fun, sun and skied hard sveryday until 4:39/5pm. If you’re smart with how you spend and thoughtful it’s ok but you need to plan and budget a bit.

Good, quiet week. Snow on pistes but early in the season so off-piste was no currently and some pistes were sadly closed. Resort is quite expensive but worth it.

It was great fun but expensive. I probably wouldn’t go back but it was great to visit. I don’t understand why this has to be 100 characters as I have nothing more to say!
Early in the season (December), low amounts of snow, so off piste was fairly low quality. The resort had very few lifts open meaning runs were quite limited. However, those that were open were quite fun for beginner/intermediate.

Verbier is one hell of a ski resort. The expansive ski area offers something for everyone. You could spend weeks here without running out of new pistes and lines to ski. Access to the slopes and getting around the town is dead easy and there's loads of eating, drinking and partying (and shopping) options too!

Verbier is a great ski area tons of terrain for all levels of skiers and boarders. The on hill bars and restaurants are great, very expensive but good. The apres in the village has something for everyone.

The Swiss are so efficient the transportation (public) is perfect, getting the resort is easy since the trains are so good.

All in all Verbier is expensive but one of the most beautiful places in the world and the skiing is top notch!

Great resort; huge ski area with enough ski villages as part of it to cater to most requirements.
Generally expensive, but that's Switzerland for you.
The managed off-piste routes are great as well as the unmanaged parts when you know where to go.

Verbier is a fantastic resort with some excellent skiing making focusing around the off piste. The pistes are good but not beginner freindly. The ski lifts are mostly all very modern and there are some great spots on the mountain to eat which are also extremely expensive. The town is stunning and 'chalet mecca'. Apres is good with a great range of pubs. Prices vary a lot - Pub Montfort a pint will cost 6CHF however if you go to the the Farinet then expect to pay 11CHF, however the atmoshpere there is great and usually has a great live band. Accommodation in Verbier is extortionate with many luxury chalets and hotels - luckily I work in the ski industry and got to stay free of charge. Overall Verbier is an excellent resort if you can afford it!

I was here with the ES ski school as an instructor.
With lots of free time for my own recreational skiing too, I can highly rate the resort in terms of ski terrain for all levels, the high level of piste preperation, the extent of ski terrain for all abilities, the quality of ski and snowboard instruction, grade of equipment for hire or to buy, and all in a stunning setting with a fabulous range of accommodation, shops, bars and restaurants.
This is a relatively expensive resort but you do get what you pay for; quality in a beautiful setting. ENJOY!

Great resort. Mostly quiet slopes with very small queue time. High altitude which leads to quality snow and little slush. Food is amazing although quite pricey (as expected in Switzerland).

Extensive area, however navigating was tricky due to the lack of slope signage and the piste map being ambiguous at times. Lifts started later than other resorts weve skied, especially after snow and stopped early too. Lift pass expensive especially as there were so many drag lifts in the area.
Very suitable resort for lovers of off piste, moguls and steep runs.

Verbier is fabulous, darling. Wildly expensive and luxurious, the only thing you have to do for yourself is ski, or possibly decide which ritzy bar or restaurant to grace with your VIP presence apres ski. From warmed boots to massages, very upmarket ski hire, hot chocolate brought to you in the jacuzzi to wonderful catering on tap - this is also party central. Take one of the glorious chalets with a group of fun friends, or bring the family and hire ski nannies to reduce stress. Highly recommended for those who want to relax between pistes and enjoy quiet luxury. Fascinating to discover famous names in the guest book, and even borrow their discarded but well laundered ski wear as we did.

Spent my whole season last year training in Verbier. It was the most incredible resort and mountain Ive ever rode. The variety of terrain accessible from right off the chair lift / gondola is phenomenal. So many sick zones, powder days that dreams are made of and apres ski that will have you dancing the night away. The village in Verbier itself is so cozy and full of top notch restaurants/bars. There are plenty of awesome apre ski bars and fun things to do around the town! You can even paraglide from the mountain into the village called Le Chable below or zip line from the very top of Mont Fort. Verbier is literally one of the coolest resorts and I cant wait to return! I trained with a company called Vivid Snowboarding and gained so much experience in my overall riding. The park crew in Verbier does an amazing job and the freeride is some of the best Ive ever done. Overall highly recommend going to Verbier if you love to shred and love to have fun and ride some extreme terrain!
