What Skiers Say About Verbier

Verbier attracts primarily intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, with reviewers consistently noting excellent off-piste terrain, challenging itinerary runs, and a large interconnected ski area across the 4 Valleys. The resort is frequently described as expensive across accommodation, food, and drinks, though many feel the quality justifies the cost. Advanced riders praise the steep mogul fields, tree runs, and backcountry access, while several note limited beginner-friendly terrain. Après-ski receives mixed feedback—some enjoy the bars and nightlife (particularly Farinet and Pub Mont Fort), while others find it less vibrant than expected or note that it happens in town rather than on-slope. Lift infrastructure is generally efficient with short queues outside peak times, though the main Médran lift can be busy during holidays.

Overall good but too crowded the slopes get really icy early on so should get to the slopes when they open in the morning. Very good lunch spots in the slopes but not very much apres ski compared to other resorts

There is a great place good for beginners and all the way through to advanced. There’s a good reason why people who have been there keep going back.

Verbier is an amazing resort for high energy, off piste skiing. The slopes are generally steeper than most other resorts so a red in Verbier may be considered a black elsewhere so this will need to be kept in mind. So many food options and good apres options too

Verbier is an amazing resort for all ages and all levels too. There’s a wide variety of slope difficulties and with access to the 4 valleys you can explore other resorts. At times, the snow off piste wasn’t great but the slope team did an excellent job of making sure there was snow on the pistes. In the weeks coming up to Christmas, the slopes were empty in the mornings which meant you can do may runs with fresh pistes before the moguls form. One of the downsides of Verbier is that it is really expensive, especially if you plan to eat on the slopes as it quickly adds up even when you go the self service restaurants. If you prepare sandwiches at home and bring your own snacks, you can manage the costs. Overall, I highly recommend Verbier to newcomers.

An amazing resort with some of the best restaurants, particular favourite being La Marmot and in town Pub Monfort is great for a dance and lovely food and drinks! Ski area is brilliant and a little icy when I went but plenty of options for alternative runs and lifts etc. Would visit again!

Verbier is currently my favourite mountain I have skied at. After comparing it to Zermatt, I believe it is bigger, less crowded, and offers more variety in terrain, including more advanced slopes. There are also many additional attractions such as speed checkers, ski cross, and more. The lifts are very good, and the wait lines aren usually too long. The skiing is amazing, because the terrain+scenery is one-of a kind. Overall, I would say it is a must vist at least once, and an amazing experience

I have visited verbier to ski on several occasions now including skiing the whole 4 valleys. There is a good range of slopes for all levels and they are maintained well. The nightlife is also particularly good with the street party on NYE being a particular favourite.

Not cheap but fantastic! Snow machines had done great work, lifts efficient, no queues, could get into restaurants, had fun, sun and skied hard sveryday until 4:39/5pm. If you’re smart with how you spend and thoughtful it’s ok but you need to plan and budget a bit.

Good, quiet week. Snow on pistes but early in the season so off-piste was no currently and some pistes were sadly closed. Resort is quite expensive but worth it.

It was great fun but expensive. I probably wouldn’t go back but it was great to visit. I don’t understand why this has to be 100 characters as I have nothing more to say!
Early in the season (December), low amounts of snow, so off piste was fairly low quality. The resort had very few lifts open meaning runs were quite limited. However, those that were open were quite fun for beginner/intermediate.
