What Skiers Say About Sauze d'Oulx

Sauze d'Oulx attracts mainly intermediate to advanced skiers who value affordability and access to the wider Via Lattea ski area. Reviewers consistently praise the reasonable prices for food, drink, and lift passes, alongside the friendly atmosphere and quality Italian restaurants. The lift infrastructure is frequently criticised as old and slow, with many noting that connections to neighbouring resorts close easily in high winds. Snow conditions are variable, with lower runs often icy or slushy, though tree-lined runs are appreciated. The town itself is described as charming with good nightlife, though some find it quieter than expected.

Great resort village, lots of bars & restaurants. Skiing area large but mainly reds, not so good for beginners, links to 400km + on the vialattea , can ski over to France. Good prices up mountain, challenging skiing on & off piste

It was very beginner and family friendly! Less slopes for more advanced skiers (difficult blacks and higher).

A great resort and lovely for families. The snow was poor in January but the Apres ski made up for this. A great atmosphere, there was live music and good places to eat and generally have fun. Lifts were okay and when conditions are good, there is a huge area to ski the Milky way. Would return in a heartbeat but would need to ensure there was plenty of snow first. March was a better month (Skied proviously in this month) A great all round resort, value for money.

Went with small group of friends - Fun resort, went using weski which found us a very cheap deal that was great value for money. Lift passed covers all of Milky Way area. Great runs with trees and had great powder. Everyone was very friendly. Not much variation in runs (mostly reds). Beautiful town and old town ( much prettier then new purpose built places). A quiet, wholesome resort with some fun lively bars.

We stayed at the Chaberton lodge (hotel and spa) and absolutely loved it. Our package was half board and the food was fantastic including the sushi (this was included in the price at 24 pieces per person for the main meal option)

The room was spacious and warm which was pleasant. The staff were helpful. The spa was a little out dated but generally good at €30 per day as a hotel guest

The hotel had a shuttle bus which would take and pick up from the sportina lift at any time which was AMAZING.

The slopes at sauze were fanastic as an intermediate skier. We had fresh snow which is always great to ski on. The instructor renzo at the ski school (the red one) was superb. He was super knowledgeable and friendly, easy to work with and helped us progress a lot.

We had a Fantastic time :)

Great resort for beginners as plenty of slope options down the mountain and a nice town for food/drinks with shopping options for if skiing becomes a bit much.

Sauze has options to ski over into France using different lifts and skiing and make a day of it and it’s easy to get a taxi back to Sauze at the end of the day.

Plenty options for ski schoo for adults and kids too.

Very pretty ski town with fab eating out options, sadly a little icy and lacking in snow when we were last there (this is obviously weather dependent and I have been to Sauze before with fab snow conditions). Lift pass gives you access to neighbouring resorts Mont genevre with a great mix of pisted runs
