Great resort if the links to the wider area are open. High winds can be a regular occurrence. Busy on weekends due to proximity to Italian cities. Good apres ski vibe.

Went this month was good fun Lot of powder available of the runs, on runs I found a lot of ice that made it a bit challenging and some painful falls. A lot of bars available so can drink throughout the day and isn’t too pricy for a beer

This resort was brilliant an great value for money. It offered a real traditional vibe of an Italian town with plenty of food options-none of which disappointed! Access onto the slope ls was super easy an close to resort centre, we hardly cued for a lift all week, empty, well groomed slopes. A lovely find!

Great couple of days boarding at Sauze. Had a massive dumping of snow so had some awesome powder days. Plenty of runs for all abilities and easy links between other mountains via lifts and gondolas give you even more options. Overall great vibe and reasonably affordable for a holiday on the mountain.

Great resort good budget option, plenty of tree lines runs when the connection for the rest of milky way is open so many more options are available and some fantastic runs and plenty of off piste. Town is great, lovely plenty of eating and drinking options and everyone really friendly

Lovely town, with lovely layed back feel. We skied at half term and with a combination of lifts closed due to high winds there was simply not capacity on the lift infrastructure to cope with the volume. I would go again but not peak season. We made use of the free bus for a days excursion to Badagasta and hired a taxi to Mongevre. Whilst there is a ski link to Mongenevre it is a long way. The taxi meant we had a full day exploring montgenevre which was definitely worthwhile. One of the biggest benefits is the very short transfer, just over an hour, to and from Turin airport. Flying to Turin also meant we missed the change over day chaos of Geneva and Chambery

Stayed in village centre, effort getting to lifts, poor conditions, limited skiing due to winds. All in all a disappointment and certainly would not go back

We had not skied here before, the lifts are older than expected with no mod cons, the resourt bus is 12 euro a week extra, but the lift pass was cheep, the resort is on a big hill, so the option of walking up to the lifts was not great, so we got the bus, the runs are nice and lots of tree lined areas, which is great for bad weather, there is a couple of popular ski away days to other local resorts on the same lift pass, orginsied locally, and the mountain restruants were very reasionabley priced, with great food and good coffee, the final discusions amoung our little group was "We liked it" and would come back. just to put some perpective on this, we all have skied since the mid 80's and often go twice a year.

Stayed 1-8 March 2026 Great spring conditions except the lowest slopes which had thin snow cover early afternoon to slush later. Relatively no queues at any lifts. Prices for food and drink in the town were expected however much higher on slope.

The village is great. The bars have great apperitivo (ie free snacks) in the afternoon before evening meals with great choices of wine and beers.
The lifts are really getting on a bit. Some have been upgraded but there are still lots of old lifts there.

The few runs that were open were very good. But because of the warm conditions there were not that many open.
Skied across into Sestriere (but had to get lift down as there wasn't enough snow)
In these conditions used the opportunity to get the coach over to Montegevre for the day. The lifts are included on the lift pass. If there are not many runs open its definitely worth it.

In summary its a strange resort. I always feel like its cheap and cheerful and sometimes feel disappointed by some runs but I always enjoy it

Decent resort with a good range of slopes, connected to the large Via Lattea ski area. The town is quite hilly so would look carefully at where accommodation is located in relation to the lifts. Ski bus is n extra cost. The lift infrastructure is quite old, making it quite slow to get around. Lifts open at 9 and close by about 4:15 so quite a shot day; even the lifts linking the various areas close at the same times so need to be very careful not to be late heading back from other areas. They also close lifts if the wind gets up too much (I’ve been to numerous places where it has been windier and the lifts keep going).

Good resort once you are up high, minimal snow on runs down to resort, needs alot more snow coverage and better management of the lower runs

I spent 3 months in Sauze in 2025 and loved everyday, it has a great range of slopes and the mountain has something fro everyone. The ski schools are great and i loved having private lessons with Emily Hawkins! The apre and food/bar scene is so good, everything is well priced and there are loads of options to choose from! If you need rentals check out Edyalin ski shop at the bottom of the first lift - clotes 1
