The resort, locals, hospitality and value are all great but it is let down by poor quality lifts snd lack of investment. It boasts of a big ski area, but this is accessed by an old slow 2 man lift which is a bottleneck. You will want to do this though because the slopes the resort side ot the hill arnt enough. Getting back has a gondola but then heres the rub. Getting down is either a blue around the mountain top which is narrow, dangerous and busy. The option, a black which isn't the easiest either. For this reason i wont go back until they sort out this obvious weakness and wouldn't recommend it to non confident skiers.

Went with three good friends, shared a room in a b&b style place. Was in a good location - about 5min walk to the slopes, but centre of town for bars and restaurants. Plenty of restaurant choice of an evening, although several of the more popular places we needed to book ahead.
Skiing was a lot of fun, there was a good dump of snow on our first day so powder and off piste were excellent. The groomed runs were well looked after and I particularly enjoyed the tree-lined runs and popping off the edge of the trails to play in amongst the trees. The final run down to resort did get pretty chopped up and messy by the end of the day and was often really busy on the way down. We would usually stop at a bar at a mid point and have a drink and snack for a bit to let the majority of the crowds disperse. The bottom of the run could get pretty slushy by the end of the day, but unsurprising given we were there in March.
Connections to the adjoining resorts were mostly open making it a really decent sized area to ski. Prices were much cheaper than France or Switzerland and the airport transfer time was good especially as we were cramming our trip into 5 days. Given the short transfer we were able to leave from the UK in the early hours and ski on arrival day as well as skiing until mid afternoon on day 5 before heading to the airport and being back home late at night.
Would definitely ski Sauze again.

Sauze is fine if you don't mind antiquated lifts, lots of runs closed & poor snow management. Been twice in last few years but won't be back unless they invest to make significant improvements. Its a shame as town is nice with good hotels, food & apres ski.

Not much snow so there were only a few runs open.
I was very disappointed with the snow park, it was really hard to find and get to and when you got there there were only a few features and some of them were even closed.

Sauze is by no means perfect. The lifts are a bit slow, the links over to other ski areas can be affected by wind and the snow conditions are very. But everything else you would want from a ski holiday is very good. Food, drink, friendly people. A great atmosphere keeps me going back year after year.

A great resort with lots of interesting runs and a variety of reds and blacks!

Food amazing if you like pasta and pizza - good apres ski too, medium liveliness.

Sometimes the piste bashers were slow to go over runs when it snowed resulting in them being shut and patrolled. Should be doing this after snow so slopes are open the day after especially when people are paying for ski passes

Decent ski area and reasonable apres, although little directly off the slopes. Great value and excellent food options. List system too slow and needs updating.

Great place for a ski trip, massive ski are to explore on the Milkyway. Restaurants, bars are all excellent, and the coffee / cake everywhere is the best, and all at reasonable prices. My go to place for a weekend trip.

Overall good ski resort, particularly for intermediate to advanced skiers.

Ski pass offers access to the rest of the milkyway resorts so plenty of choice for other runs. For a full day of skiing in Claviere/ Montgenèvre its better to drive and park there rather than ski over which can leave you tight for time on the ski lifts.

We were lucky to have snowfall most nights in March which certainly helped the piste quality.

Resort had plenty of bars and restaurants, particularly catering for the Brits.

Wonderful resort runs, especially with the links to the wider Vialattea area. Tree lined tuns around Montgenevre were fantastic and the black run Kandahar above Progelata is highly recommended. The only let downs are the poor signage (impossible to read from any distance and whilst moving) and the slow lifts which cause queues at peak times, not helped when the lifts are not filled. Looking forward to returning soon though

First time skiing in 5 years. Lovely resort to get back into the swing of things with a variety of different slopes. Went towards the end of the season so not loads of snow down but more than adequate.

Lift system isn't a bad than what people think, runs are long and varied and interesting.

Only let down is the connections between the resorts, I.e. run 27 is horrendous. And the apres could be better.

Town very hilly. Has some old slow lifts, but excellent access to other parts of the milky way. If there's plenty of snow there's lots of easy off piste terrain.

Lovely little village in the Italian Alps, good skiing and a few places in the village for Apres Ski but not a loud resort. Good pizza too.

The resort centre was surprisingly low key despite a reputation as a party town. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from at very affordable prices. We stayed in Jouvenceaux which is an even quieter hamlet down a steep hill from town. Only a handful of restaurants and bars but the food was amazing. Ski passes are cheap compared to flashier resorts and the lift system is good. March tends to be better than Feb for conditions when lower runs make skiing back to resort difficult. Overall, a brilliant option if you want to spend a bit less. And it's Italy so what's not to like.
