What Skiers Say About Morzine
Morzine attracts a broad mix of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with families and groups of friends commonly mentioned. Reviewers consistently highlight the resort's location within the Portes du Soleil area, offering easy access to Avoriaz, Les Gets, and a large variety of terrain. The town itself is praised for being a real Alpine town with numerous bars, restaurants, and shops, and the free shuttle bus service is frequently noted as efficient. Snow conditions receive mixed feedback, with lower altitude slopes sometimes suffering from lack of snow or becoming slushy, though higher areas like Avoriaz are noted as more snow-sure. Après-ski options and value for money are generally well-regarded, though some mention the resort can get busy during peak periods.

The slopes were ideal length for myself an expert skier and my beginner girlfriend. Best of both worlds!! The local food was incredible in town.
Doesn’t take long to get to the main ski lift where ever you stay in Morzine really with free shuttle busses!
I will be going back one year once we have tried a couple more resorts.
Be wary of the altitude though, not as snow sure as other resorts.
Apres is a good laugh and there is good variety. Some banging restaurants and the accommodation options are varied with some good chalets on Airbnb for shorter stays.
To get up and on the slopes is as soon as the lifts opened at 8.30 the runs were a lot quieter. The town was beautiful and had a lot to offer for food and nightlife. Would deffo recommended and will
Be going back.
Skiing - lots of varied terrain and an efficient lift system.
Accomodation was central in Chevruls9. Used Precision Ski for equipment, all staff were fab.
Fireworks on Xmas Eve at newly refurbed Hotel Tremplin, had Xmas dinner there too which was lovely.
Transfer from GVA airport not too long. All in all a great choice for first family ski holiday. Could have skied Avoriaz too but we stayed in Morzine.
Great resort, lots to do. Super friendly, amazing food & apres ski. Lots of accommodation. Not cheap, same as UK. We did some touring, but again tricky as was very icy.
Unfortunately we had no snow, the pistes were very icy with mogles on most pistes. It was also very busy which made for difficult skiing on the reds & blacks. Last year so much snow, w were spoiled, it was amazing, lots of off piste skiing with all runs open & skiing lower down.
I will be back, Morzine is a super skiing area if you get the pass for port du Soleil, lots to see & ski.
We stayed in centre of Morzine next to Super Morzine bubble. Perfect & always a lovely ski home in sunset. Don’t worry if your French is not up to it, everyone speaks great English.
Enjoy x
