Really enjoyed Morzine, I am a beginner skier and found that Morzine had a lot to offer for me learning, green and blue slopes. The ski lifts were pretty busy and also the runs tended to get busy after 11am would advise the best time
To get up and on the slopes is as soon as the lifts opened at 8.30 the runs were a lot quieter. The town was beautiful and had a lot to offer for food and nightlife. Would deffo recommended and will
Be going back.

Great holiday I a very nice chalet with friends. Only con is time and effort getting bus up to avoriaz lift every day- as snow wasn’t the best in morzine during our visit, despite it being in January. Good apres in morzine.

While the resort is at low altitude, it makes up with the amazing variety of Apres ski & hundreds of restaurants to choose from. The resort is easily connected to Les Gets & Avoriaz, giving you over 600km of pistes. The charm of the town is unrivalled & keeps me going back year after year.

First time skiing here and had everything you needed close and was very easy to use/work out. Buses ran through the village every 20 minutes so even if staying slightly out you can get in to town easily

Morzine date 21-28th December 2025
Great resort, lots to do. Super friendly, amazing food & apres ski. Lots of accommodation. Not cheap, same as UK. We did some touring, but again tricky as was very icy.
Unfortunately we had no snow, the pistes were very icy with mogles on most pistes. It was also very busy which made for difficult skiing on the reds & blacks. Last year so much snow, w were spoiled, it was amazing, lots of off piste skiing with all runs open & skiing lower down.

I will be back, Morzine is a super skiing area if you get the pass for port du Soleil, lots to see & ski.

We stayed in centre of Morzine next to Super Morzine bubble. Perfect & always a lovely ski home in sunset. Don’t worry if your French is not up to it, everyone speaks great English.

Enjoy x

We love visiting morzine and having the choice of skiing on either the Morzine or Avoriaz side. The village is a beautiful traditional
Alpine resort with lots of lovely restaurants and bars. We visit every year.

Love morzine. It’s a family friendly resort with loads of restaurants and bar choices. Great ski zone too and access to other resorts like ardent, avoriaz and even access to Switzerland. Friendly sky staff and well run lifts

Incredible ski area with great conditions during the time we were there. Runs were easy and maintained well with enough snowfall to make most runs somewhat of a powder lap. The backcountry and off-piste options are vast and exciting with few people riding these lines.
It is quite an expensive ski area but a lot of fun. I was disappointed with the lack of snow park options within Morzine but thankfully Avoriaz was only a lift away but you would have to spend the day over there if you did go.
Slopes stayed quiet most of the time but most of the people there really knew what they were doing with a lot of begginer friendly access. Your options to ski are vast, i’ve been skiing for 16 years and i can confidently say that if you look for it you will be pleasantly challenged by the terrain.

I visited with friends in March 2025 as well as having gone with family as a child. Morzine is one of my favourite resorts as it offers something for everyone. Whether it be apres for young adults and adults or simple quiet runs for kids and beginners it’s the ideal place to visit. Due to the large ski area available and being able to ski over into switzerland I found that the queues for the lift were not too bad at all given the popularity of the resort. Also the free transport to get to avoriaz is very helpful.

We stayed in the quiet area of Les Prodains between Morzine and Avoriaz for 3 nights in January. Leaving Luton on the first flight to Geneva you can get three and a half days skiing in (providing EasyJet get the de-icing sorted promptly!). The Prodains Express lift gives good access to the slopes above Avoriaz and into Switzerland including the Swiss Wall (if that’s your thing) and when we were there you could ski all the way back to the hotel in the evening. It’s not the place to be for nightlife as it’s very quiet although skibuses run regularly into town. We loved it and are returning in January!

Morzine is a great resort to stay in as you have two sides of the mountain to choose from giving you options depending on the conditions. Lots of options for apres and great restaurants. There’s a folie douce in Avoriaz if you want to party on the slopes. If you stay in the town both lifts are walkable and if not there’s free bus shuttles all day. Great resort for beginners and experienced skiers

We go back to Morzine regularly as we live the vibe, great restaurants and little authentic shops in the town (the fromage is a favourite!) while the snow isn’t as heavy here anymore, you can easily go up to Avoriaz or Le Gets for better snowy conditions, plus plenty more fantastic places for apres ski stop-offs.

A really lovely resort for both groups and families. We stayed in Morzine but also spent time up in Avoriaz which gave diversity to the week. We went in March and with Morzine being a little lower the snow quality wasn’t great but it didn’t stop us having a brilliant time. Really lovely staff in all the bars and restaurants and things ran smoothly all week.

Porte du Soleil was a fantastic resort. Stay in Morzine to get access to both sides of the gorge. Avoriaz for après and Swiss wall!
Les gets for almost ungroomed quiet skiing.

I love the village feel of Morzine and the extensive ski area of Portes du Soleil. There’s a great mix of long winding runs, snow parks and scenic parts through the trees.
