What Skiers Say About Morzine

Morzine attracts a broad mix of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with families and groups of friends commonly mentioned. Reviewers consistently highlight the resort's location within the Portes du Soleil area, offering easy access to Avoriaz, Les Gets, and a large variety of terrain. The town itself is praised for being a real Alpine town with numerous bars, restaurants, and shops, and the free shuttle bus service is frequently noted as efficient. Snow conditions receive mixed feedback, with lower altitude slopes sometimes suffering from lack of snow or becoming slushy, though higher areas like Avoriaz are noted as more snow-sure. Après-ski options and value for money are generally well-regarded, though some mention the resort can get busy during peak periods.

Morzine is an actual town, rather than just a ski resort, so it has a lot to offer other than just skiing. Also very easy access to other resorts and the portes du soleil area is huge!

The resort was busy and there was plenty of options of bars and restaurants. The snow wasn’t brilliant but that’s not the resorts fault.
We were lucky and stayed close to the lifts and had easy access to shops etc.
We found that other tourists weren’t as friendly as you would usually find at apres but we still had an amazing time!

Great resort, would definitely recommend and I’ll definitely be returning. The resort has plenty of different slopes for all levels of skiing/snowboading. I would definitely recommend apres ski at the end of the day as well down at cavern club.

Great resort, easy access, great free bus service. All socials and restaurants had really friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend Portes du Soleil and make sure you ski at Saint Jean d’Aulps it really is a hidden gem and worth the short journey out of town, a beautiful tranquil area with AMAZING views!

i went with my family during a school holiday so we were expecting it to be busy. it was extremely busy and prices for flights/ski pass etc went up massively. the accommodation options are good and can be quite cheap especially if you don’t mind a little walk to the slopes. the food options varied from the nicer upscale restaurants to the fast food restaurants. so there’s plenty for everyone
