The town itself is praised for being a real Alpine town with numerous bars, restaurants, and shops, and the free shuttle bus service is frequently noted as efficient. Snow conditions receive mixed feedback, with lower altitude slopes sometimes suffering from lack of snow or becoming slushy, though higher areas like Avoriaz are noted as more snow-sure. Alpine resort with lots of lovely restaurants and bars. We visit every year.
It is quite an expensive ski area but a lot of fun. I was disappointed with the lack of snow park options within Morzine but thankfully Avoriaz was only a lift away but you would have to spend the day over there if you did go.
Slopes stayed quiet most of the time but most of the people there really knew what they were doing with a lot of begginer friendly access. Your options to ski are vast, i’ve been skiing for 16 years and i can confidently say that if you look for it you will be pleasantly challenged by the terrain.
You can ski directly from the village itself, or catch a bus to Pont du Nyon or to the cable car and chair up to Avoriaz. You have a selection of runs to choose from, gentle greens and blues all the way to off piste off the back of Nyon.
The resort is great for families and is in easy reach of Geneva making it an ideal holiday destiniation.
A plethora of skiing available at all grades which suits our group. Access to avoriez is great if snow is not available at lower levels so we have slways been able to ski when visiting.
Overall great location with loads of varied runs and lifts which always gives us good skiing.
Lost a couple of days due to a complete white out but the facilities were great and very pleasant group to ski with.
morzine provided the usual mix of local cuisine and apres ski to cater for all.
