Méribel Review Summary
Méribel attracts predominantly intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, many travelling in mixed-ability groups or families. The resort is consistently praised for its central location in the Three Valleys, offering efficient access to Courchevel and Val Thorens via well-maintained lift infrastructure. Reviewers repeatedly mention the extensive ski area, good piste grooming, and lively après-ski scene, particularly at Rond Point and La Folie Douce. However, the high cost of accommodation, food, and drinks is a frequent complaint, with many noting that Méribel is significantly more expensive than resorts in Austria or Italy. Lift queues can be an issue during peak periods, particularly on lower lifts, though most report they move relatively quickly. A few snowboarders mention flat connecting runs as problematic.

Meribel has a vast skiing area with a huge variety of runs for every different skiing ability.
Accommodation options also vary to suit all budgets, but just bare in mind that the lower your budget, the slightly further you may be from the slopes, meaning you’ll need to use one of the free shuttle busses (which are really frequent and easy to use)
Food options on the slopes are good, and in the town is also brilliant, with great nightlife, if that’s what you’re after!
I’d definitely recommend getting a full 3 valleys pass. Although it’s a bit more expensive, the variety of skiing is fantastic and you can experience some of the beautiful tree runs in Courchevel or hit the Folie Douce in Val Thorens!
Absolutely unbeatable!
Best food, best runs best locations.
Lodge du village, jacks bar, roc!
Only a short ride to val T or corchevelle aswell
The bus system is good and runs relatively late.
Also accessible from Brides les Bains if you want a cheaper pace to stay. Lots of SC accomodation at Mottaret e..g. Le Hameau
Worked all season here and is better then tignes and val also better then avoriaz and Morzine
Apres ski the best weve been too especially folie douce!
We have been back to this resort 3/4 times now
The village has a wonderful feel and the après is some of the best in the Alps. Go check out the Rond Point or 'the Ronnie' as the locals call it. Amazing setting, views and catch the sunset whist enjoy a drink and a dance! Unmissable.
Love the full 3 valleys ski lift pass, so many km of runs to explore and great off-piste options too.
Lots of apres, great food options, and lots to do on and off the mountain.
My second time in the 3 valleys, Meribel being a great spot to stay.
