Brilliant resort for everyone with a friendly atmosphere and access to the largest ski area in the alps!!!

Meribel remains my favourite resort due to the extent and variety of the ski area together with fabulous bars and restaurants

Very busy during New Years week! very icy runs. but lots of skiing and the size of 3 valleys meant you could follow the sun all day. expenisve but nice. no skiing under trees. most of the available off piste was not super interesting - just to the side of the pisted runs.

Loved our trip to Meribel. Lots of lovely runs and can cover quite a distance in a day. Meribel is well placed in the three valleys and every place can be easily visited from here. It is a great base for all abilities making it I believe, a top location in the Three Valleys. You can head in either direction to cover the 600km of piste on offer.
I loved the pretty village location and its surrounded by many tree-lined blues (nice for the cruise back or the warm up each day). The lifts are great and the reds and blacks are in easy reach too.

Top tips from me:
Grab lunch at Fartos in Motarrat to save a few pennies and enjoy the nice fresh sandwiches on offer. For a more refined and elegant choice try Le Grand Coeur for some goumet food.
Definitely visit the La Folie Douce, Meribel and in VT too. Then head to Meribel to the Le Rond Point for the last drink. Also pay a visit to Jack's Bar who have some great live music and offer happy hour.
Make the most of the public buses to get around-they are so easy to use, just jump on and off and they are free too. There are four routes A, B, C and D. Scan the QR code to get the timetable. They run early in the morning to late as night.
Definitely a place to visit and one that we return too having tried some other places in the Three Valley's.

The very centre of the biggest ski resort in the world - what more can you say! There's something for everyone (unless you're looking for quiet, unfortunately), but you won't find a better diversity of runs anywhere else.

It was just incredible. We loved every single minute, form the moment we arrived we were greeted by many skiers loving life just as much as we knew we would for the week.

Best European resort - huge ski area. Courcheval very Russian and expensive.
3 valleys expensive but great skiing - harder than Val D’isere.

Meribel is a great resort for families or a group of friends. It’s part of the 3 valleys so has such a vast area of skiing. The lifts are efficient, there are loads of slopes for beginners or advanced skiers/boarders. There are so many options both up the mountain and in the village to eat whether it’s just a snack or a luxuary meal. The apres ski extensive.

Awesome resort, had a sick time with friends, loved having the option to ski over to Val Thorens and Corcherval!

Amazing place, brilliantly located for all 3 valleys skiing. Excellent and efficient lift system with minimal waiting times.

I have had something like 140 ski holidays outwith the UK in the last 40 years and the 3 valleys especially Meribel is the only place I can return to time and time again and not get bored!
No matter what the weather and snow conditions I will find somewhere interesting to ski as I know the area well. I now always stay in the Meribel valley as it gives easy access to the other valleys and of course there are now 4 valleys including Orelle.
Pre Brexit and Covid I could find good last minute chalet holidays but these are expensive now so I always self-cater and there are all sorts of possibilities depending on what you want and where you wish to stay. There is an excellent free bus service linking parts of the Meribel resort which runs late into the evening.
I visit with my husband but family members work there as independant instructors and the whole family visit regularly - resort is great for families as there are lots of additional activities.
I go to ski on piste so cannot rate snowparks or offpiste from personal use but they are available. I also cannot rate apres and I spend evenings with my family.
I,age shows Mont Vallon at teh end of Meribel valley with one of my favourite red runs.

Great resort with access to whole 3 valleys ski area, giving great range of slopes. Great skiing despite late in season. Lovely spots to stop for lunch or a drink. All the mountain restaurants are pretty expensive but if you look around you can get snacks for more reasonable amounts.

Val Thorens is a mecca for vast skiing but above the tree-line so it can be cold and windy. Most accommodation is on the slopes.

The Rond Point and the Fromagerie are must visit apres location and dinner options. Nightlife Sullivans

First time visiting Meribel. Decent resort. Usual do ski in ski out but not this time. Bit inconvenient but not the worst. Easy access to lifts from our apartment. Resort is clean, lots of options for food and drinks and a few supermarkets. Decent runs for all abilities. 3 valleys lift pass is the best option I'd say as you can visit val thorens and courchevell if you want. If you want to stay closer to home then just get the meribel pass. Would visit again.

February half term 2026. Unprecedented snow, incredible conditions. Unfortunately interconnecting lifts to the 3 valleys were closed however plenty of runs to choose from in Méribel. Some slopes were very quiet despite the time of year! Fab restaurants on the pistes.

Meribel village had great access to the the whole of the 3 valleys, situated between Courchevel And Val Thorens it had easy and direct access to either resorts. The atmosphere in meribel village is very bouchi which makes it a great place to eat/ drink and bring family

Amazing resort with access to a wide range of slopes and abilities. Easy to make progress. Lots of good places to eat out. Would definitely come again.
