I am an intermediate level skier and I had a great time in Meribel. With the option to also go across to courchevel too, there was a lot of variety. There are great mid day stops for food and drinks; Stunning views and plenty to do for non skiers too. The pistes were well maintained, at the time we went last year there had been very little snow fall, but we still had a great time skiing. Occasionally icy in places, but likely as a result of no snow fall.

Always a great place to go , often a little quieter than other areas of the three valleys .
Loads of little great places to eat and drink.
Not far from meribel is mottaret and there is the Olympics ski park so if you're stuck to do there's ice skating and more activities there too.

Great all round resort. A variety of difficulties in slopes and easy to get over to Courchevel and Val Thorens from the top. A mix of different terrains and aspects with Village and Altiport being more treelined whereas Centre is a bit more open. Good Apres options at Rond Point and Folie Douce. Only slight drawback Id say is the length of the queues first thing in the morning at the Chaudanne but once youre up the mountain its definitely worth it.

Three valleys means huge ski areas but a lot of blue and green runs.
The blacks are not the hardest and very few of them

Les 3 valles is a great resort, however? The weather could be tricky. Food options are a bit limited in comparison to resprts in Austria and Italy. Apreski is good, however, you better go down from the mountain or stay on Val thrones

LE PLUS GRAND DOMAINE SKIABLE AU MONDE
Great resort for everyone
Reasonably hard runs and it can get very busy especially in the holidays.

Went skiing over the Christmas period with my brother. It's a very beautiful location for skiing and amazing access to the three valleys as it is the centre valley. Everything is fairly expensive there, but the sheer amount of options for skiing at any level is astounding. I didn't not go above red so I can't comment mutch on the off piste and moguls and powder sections.
Food and drink was horribly expensive on or near the slopes, so much so that we almost entirely shopped on the supermarkets and made food at our accommodation.
If you have the money for it, a s don't mind the higher cost of accomodation and food and drink, it's worth it for a longer holiday just for the amount of variance you can find on the slops and the endless options for runs.

I haven't been to many different ski resorts around the globe because I keep finding that Meribel delivers everything I need every year. As part of the 3 Valleys, it is part of the biggest ski piste area in Europe. In the four separate years I've been to Meribel I still discover new runs that I haven't been on before! Although this is a very popular resort, you can always find space for yourself on the wider runs or getting up early to travel further afield in a day. If you're getting up early my recommendation is to drop in to Maison Braissand Les Glaciers in the middle of town. A nice warm pastry to have on the first lift up is the best way to start the day. The lifts out from the centre rarely have queues and so when my friends and I enjoy a long red run or miss the ski in entrance to Le Rond Point (which has happened more than once!), you can easily and quickly get the lift back up. All the restaurants are similar prices and booking a reservation would be recommended. My friends aren't the best planners, so when we've finally decided to get some dinner we have walked in trying to get a table for four. Usually having to wait for a table to clear or sometimes we have just timed it right. I haven't ever experienced ski stealing, but to be cautious we always swap a ski with each other in our group and this has been enough to ward off the opportunistic bunch! With all things considered Meribel accommodates all levels of snow-goers, families and apres chasers. It really is the best all round ski resort I have been to and I will be booking another trip this year with the massive snowfall they've had this season! :)

Snowboarded here a few years ago, before I had done much snowboarding. The runs are pretty good for it, very open and not too steep so great for learning.
The food and actual station was beautiful and good with a group of friends. We didn't do much apres but I had heard good things about that too.

Great base for exploring the three valleys.
Had a really good experience with Oxygene ski school.
The Black Forest luge is well worth a go for something different
