Merible is great ski location with endless ski runs for all abilities, the apres is great fun and there a plenty of bars and restaurants to go to during the day and evening.

Very pretty, lots of off piste terrain to go searching for, doesnt hold quality snow as well as courchevel when its warm. All round excellent resort.

Méribel is my favourite resort of all that Ive been to over 20 years of skiing. I think Meribel is the only resort that really caters to all from beginners to advanced skiers and both older and younger generations with some great restaurants and brilliant apres scene. Ive stayed in Mottaret which provides the true ski in-ski out experience which is a dream for tired legs at the end of the day and have most recently stayed over in Meribel village for the first time in a beautiful chalet which was only 200m from the bottom of the chairlift and was almost as convenient as being in mottaret. The lift access from the village is very good with one chairlift allowing an easy green run ski into Meribel centre or a second chairlift to take you immediately higher up the mountain to the blue and red runs. The geographical location of Meribel in the middle of the three valleys also makes it an ideal location to stay with ease of access to the other valleys giving guests endless options and fun to be had on the slopes. The runs themselves are fantastic fun, with long wide and rolling blues/reds at the top giving skiers space to enjoy themselves on the mountain and get the most out of their skiing. Plenty of fun powder areas between the pistes add further variety and opportunity for more playful skiing which I love.
In the town the shops are fantastic, stocking all the best brands and more, an absolute dream for ski fanatics! A couple of great places I went to for food and drink were Lilie restaurant up near Rond Point which was very plush with great food and atmosphere. More central Le Taverne is a go to bar for some casual drinks and live music every night if youre out. Another top spot which does incredible sandwiches/baguettes is Farto which is a small wine and cheese shop and would highly recommend and very affordable costing only 7/8 euros vs 20-30 euro lunches in majority of restaurants on the mountain.
Any trip to Meribel has to be topped off with a couple of trips to Folie Douce halfway up the Saulière bubble which basks in the afternoon sun on bluebird days with an amazing atmosphere with great music and live performances, followed by ski down to the legendary Rond Point apres bar just above Meribel centre which is just brilliant fun and a gf eat way to end a day on the slopes!
Ive just been at the end of January and the biggest surprise has been how quiet the resort has been, tiny queues for lifts and very open runs which was a real treat and made the trip even better!

For me the best resort in the alps, it has everything. Beautiful town with good restaurants and bars, huge ski area with great variety of slopes including brilliant off piste.
The ski area is vast and youll never get bored with the quantity and quality available.
Some fantastic on mountain restaurants.

Bus transfers to lifts can be a pain and sporadic if staying out of town, particularly not in peak season, but this depends where you stay and I think a small price to pay.

Nice resort one of the cheaper places to stay in the three valleys, more tree skiing than courchevel an val thorens, good food and a decent night life.

Absolutely loved Meribel for snowboarding. There are a ridiculous amount of runs and pistes and chair lifts it blew my mind. I was never waiting to get on a lift and the pistes are so wide! A great mix of tree lined and parks too. There were loads of restaurants and cafes on and off the slopes.
Highly recommend Meribel. Very easy to get to Courcheval and Val Thorens from here. As soon I got home I start led googling jobs in Meribel and started looking at getting my snowboarding instructor qualification, it was that great a resort!

Excellent skiing for all abilities with access to all 3 valleys for any number of possible experiences.

Town offers accommodation and entertainment for all budgets.

Had an amazing time at the resort and will definitely cone back next year. Me and my Family were very happy woth the hotel we stayed in it was nice and the staff was very nice and treated us well.

Very busy, however very well kept runs with a variety of difficulty levels for all skill types. Food and other services are very expensive.

The Three Valleys is truly one of the best resorts around. Hundreds of kilometres of piste offer something for people of every level, and the various snow parks and activity zones are great fun for all abilities. Meribel itself is a lovely town with plenty of accommodation options to suit every budget, and overall its hard to beat one of the most popular ski resorts in the world!

There is something for everybody in Meribel, with it's wide range of pistes, modern lifts and great apres ski. There is plenty of off piste action too and also activities for non -skiers. Upgrade to a 3 valley pass and the options are endless as Meribel is ideally situated in the middle valley.

It is in on the pricier side so perhaps if the whole group is made of beginners then there are probably more beginner friendly resorts with more gentle terrain that would give better value. If you have some level of skiing experience then you'll be able to make the most of the huge ski area and get your money's worth.

This is the single best resort I have ever been to, there is so much variety and the amount of lifts and the efficiency they operate coupled with the unrivelled ski area makes for an incredible holiday or season. You will never be bored. The apres ski is legendary with the follie douce or the rond point. Perfect for families as well as large groups. It is a more expensive resort but in my option you get what you pay for with this resort.

Ive been lots of times - but only because friends insist on organising trips there. Meribel is over developed, terrifyingly busy on the arterial pistes, and over priced. The Skischool (ESF) is genuinely poor (our son was abandoned after an accident, a follow up with management got no remedy). There are some amazing hotels there but at eye watering prices. Of the three valleys (as you may have guessed) its my least favourite. Courchevels pistes are better, VT is more fun.

One of the best resorts in Europe if not the world.
Huge sliable area with a massive variety of piestes and lift types. Suits all types and levels of skiers. Grata off pieste selection although slightly short on tree runs.
Can get very busy because of how good it is, especially if the conditions are good, but the ski area is large enough you can normally always find a quiet spot.

Absolutely incredible area! It has everything you'd ever need. Good variety of runs so there's something to do at all levels. And with access to the entire three valleys, you'll be able to come back for years without completing everything. Then you've got all the off piste to try out as well! Endless fun to be had!

Skied Meribel several times. Access to the 3 vallees in fantastic.
Can bet congested in the morning bur queues move quickly.
Great mountain restaurants and although we were in a catered chalet on the night out we had plenty of choice.
Now with the 4th valley you can ski all day and not use the same piste or off piste twice.

Loved Meribel. Good middle point to access Val Thorens and Courchevel for a week. Great runs around the Valley to keep you busy, and the aprés is grand!

The affordability of this ski holiday was cheaper than neighbouring ski resorts like Austria and Switzerland and was certainly a popular choice for a beginner. The accommodation was ideal, competitively priced near to the slopes. Eating out was a little expensive. It is always useful to try indoor slopes like the Snowdome, Tamworth which we used to try before booking this type of holiday.

Great selection of runs across the three valleys with easy access to Courcheval and Val Thorens. So many cute restaurants and cafes to visit.
