Méribel Review Summary
Méribel attracts predominantly intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, many travelling in mixed-ability groups or families. The resort is consistently praised for its central location in the Three Valleys, offering efficient access to Courchevel and Val Thorens via well-maintained lift infrastructure. Reviewers repeatedly mention the extensive ski area, good piste grooming, and lively après-ski scene, particularly at Rond Point and La Folie Douce. However, the high cost of accommodation, food, and drinks is a frequent complaint, with many noting that Méribel is significantly more expensive than resorts in Austria or Italy. Lift queues can be an issue during peak periods, particularly on lower lifts, though most report they move relatively quickly. A few snowboarders mention flat connecting runs as problematic.

Great mountain restaurants and although we were in a catered chalet on the night out we had plenty of choice.
Now with the 4th valley you can ski all day and not use the same piste or off piste twice.
Meribel Mottaret terrain park is good and ever changing so you dont get bored if youre there lol season! Plenty boxes, rails and medium jumps, bigger jumps are generally added through the seasons as conditions improve.
The Apres ski is top notch, Catch a party at the Ronnie or at Jacks at the end of your ski day, theres always something going on!
The skiing is unreal, amazing pistes and groomers all throughout the valley.
Ski schools will take you down a variety of pistes Within the valley, new generation in particular love to focus on the journey and enjoying skiing in different conditions as opposed to skills and drill, doing is the best learning.
Off piste options are decent if you get a good dump but dont expect much if the snow cover isnt great, once theres been a massive drop of snow you can expect some seriously deep powder in places, under the toungnette lift in particular.
Overall Id say its a mint resort with options for everyone from beginner to advanced, skiers and snowboarders as well as non riders
Hope this helps! Enjoy your skiing!!
Great nightlife, fairly anglo-centric, lots of shops and non-skiing activities.
Relatively easy access - though the journey by road from Geneva is fairly long. Good train access to Moutiers.
From the apres bars to the skiing, Meribel really does cater for absolutely everything and every one. I did a season there for 6 months and have been back four times.
Level of skiing - amazing off piste, but take a guide with you for safety! Also a great place for beginners at Altiport. Highly recommend a session at Le Rond Point after a hard day of skiing.
