What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

I went during rise festival so it was quite busy, but still lots of runs to ski and the lifts were good. Stayed somewhere that had ski in ski out which was great. Food wasn’t very nice here though. But suppose that’s to be expected when you stay in the mountains.

Great apres at Pano. Snowed on arrival. Great spa and sauna in town for only €40. Excellent alternative to 3 vallées.

It is a great resort with a variety of terrain. A more advanced resort as the blues were more like reds on some runs but all around a good resort.

Fantastic experience, despite the low snow level, the pistes were very well maintained. Loved the apres over new year and the free shuttle bus was really helpful.

Having never skied before this was a great place to start. Loads of blues that ranged from long and cruisey to wide and steep made this a great resort to practice different skills. Almost never queued for a lift as well. I would say by April the snow nearer the resort was thin and a lot of green runs were closed, but this didn’t bother me at all as further up the mountain the glacier area the coverage was great

We’ve been to Les 2 Alpes a few times and have always enjoyed our time. When considering value, skiing conditions and general vibe - Les 2 Alpes has always been a solid choice for us. The resort is quite high, and they maintain the pistes even when there’s not been much snow. The village is lovely. 43 of us went for New Years, half not skiing but there was still a lot for them to do - ice caves, Venosc, shops, bars etc

Had a lovely time here with an old friend, his son and his friends.

Didn't book the chalet but was reasonably priced and central. Lifts were good and efficient and the snow was great with lots of powder and esy off piste access. Some older lifts but was generally quiet and didn't have any major issues queuing or waiting. Pass was reasonably priced.

Sociable village with plenty options for apres and eating out and easy to get around.

Attended rise festival this year. Was a great experience as conditions were good and wasn’t too busy on the slopes. A lot of food options in town serving a variety of options and amazing Apres ski. Would definitely recommend

Great resort - plenty of options for all abilities. Good aprez options available and a range of restaurants to choose from. Lifts were a bit crowded but that was due to the time of year. Would visit again

Was a great resort, had some easy run. However, some runs were labelled as easier than said. Apres Ski was good especially the umbrella bar and the polar bar. No problems with lifts. Snow wasn’t the best but what can you do! Overall, great resort, would definitely return.

We went here for rise festival. Snow far better at the top of the mountain but some not very nice green/ blue icy slopes near the bottom when we went. Fairly affordable and overall enjoyed our time there. Apres was quite fun but this was during the time of a festival so imagine it could be quieter at other times.

Beautiful resort, especially up by the glacier the snow was good and the views breathtaking. Good après! Lack of snow on most of the lower runs meant the open ones were super busy and rocky. Very long ques for the lifts to get up.

We went in dec for rise festival and had a great time. The run from the top of the glacier to the town is so long.
Pano bar on the slopes was brilliant and our favourite bar in the town was the polar bear club.
Will definitely go back.

Had a great time skiing in Les 2 Alps! The area itself is bustling, lots of shops, restaurants and nightlife if you want it. We went to a few of the apres bars and the atmosphere was fantastic. Drinks are pricey but that's to be expected. We didn't get any snow whilst out there so the lower altitude slopes ended up quite difficult to ski on between dirt and any remaining snow icing over. However if you took a couple of lifts to the very top, the snow was way better and a pleasure to ski on. Lots of blues and red up there with plenty of space

Was a good place with plenty to do, the lift you barely had to Que at because there were so many and the slopes were all nicely groomed, even in April we got snow and when it fell there was just enough to ski all the way to the village.

I went to Les 2 Alpes for rise festival and it was amazing I just want to go back. The resort is very nice and it has a load of very good food shops. It had everything thing you need like souvenirs, pubs/bars, grocery shops, and ski shops. I don’t know what it’s like when rise festival isn’t going on but I reckon it’s probably a bit more chill and less people probably a bit cheaper too but I do recommend you consider rise festival because it was amazing.
