What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

Nursery slopes are great...no lift pass needed and free button lifts and travelators. Loads of accommodation choices and pretty good value if you find an Airbnb gem. Nice restaurants and bars, friendly people and good shops!

Ive never skiied before, coming from a tropical country, and this place has taught me how to! Great selection of slopes, lots of schools for any age, good selection of accommodations, and many restaurants & pubs to choose from. Bars next to the slopes are also great for a quick coffee break while skiing or a party after-five. Many different types of lifts, too. I highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants to go for a week-long skiing holiday!

Great time early season, a little quieter. Lots of construction happening to improve lift efficiency so speed of access will be great in future!
Off piste areas are great, as well as un groomed black pistes. Some easier pistes become very chopped/icy by end of each day and busy. But not a lot of options to get from low-resort level

Two weeks skiing here. Amazing patisserie near to the accommodation for breakfast each morning. No powder during our trip but the groomed runs were great. Skied from the top to the bottom a couple of times, snow low down generally got slushy by the end of the day but high up the snow was great.

Did a season out in L2A in a bar at 18. What an experience, unbelievable nightlife and apres. Had come from piste skiing with family in Tignes and Val D'esire so the area was smaller than I was used to, but lots of nice off piste and a very good social snow park.

So much to do there in terms of parties, restaurants and bars. The resort is all in one place, making getting around so much easier than most places.

Les Deux (2) Alpes, what can I say.

I have been there 4 times, at 4 different abilities. Everytime, I have enjoyed very much.

Les 2 Alpes offers everything you want from a french resort.
- Lovely, Cosy town
- wide variety of apres ski (Pano bar is great !)
-Very affordable accommodation
-affordable lift pass
-up to 3600Metre Glacier skiing (garunteed snow)
- 1hr 30 mins from Grenoble airport

It is a great resort !

Any expert skiers looking for challenges, dont fear. Les deux alpes has your covered. Access to La Grave resort is available, La Grave is a purely off piste resort with some of the most challenging skiing around.

I cannot recommend it enough ! Fantastic

Great resort with lots of places to eat and drink. Also spoilt for choice with activities. But overall found the lifts to be quite slow and dated. And for an advanced skier going for a full week I was pretty bored after 2 days. There is no big zone exploration and the resort is basically 2 main gondolas, 1 to the middle station and the second to the top station. It is very much an up and down resort, great if youre a beginner or not great with piste maps. But will get boring if you like to explore.
