What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

The resort wasn’t too big or too small with easy access to lifts depending on accommodation location. The resort is located in fairly high altitude so we found there to be plenty of snow. The resort also had plenty of activities for non skiers, such as visiting the top of the glacier and seeing a 360 view of the Alpes. Very family friendly and highly recommended resort.

Quiet slopes at the beginning of the season, good snow in December, nice places to go out for food and drinks, easy access to renting equipment. Accommodation can be hard.

We’ve been to Les Deux Alpes several times, as a couple and also large groups of 20+. The lower runs are crowded and can be quite poor, its best to head to the top for best runs. Best place to eat is The Spot, i go there most days for food. Queues for gondola's were always horrific unless very early. However the new one is now open and should be much better! Fingers crossed!! Good bars and night life too

I love this resort, nice and big, lots of choice for restaurants although we went from Boxing Day to the 3rd and were unable to actually get into any restaurants bar 2 as it was so busy. The Apres ski is amazing, we had a fab time

The resort was great for an intermediate skier considering the time of year and snow conditions. You would struggle with snow coverage as a beginner but the pistes were well maintained and wide to manage crowds. The lifts were excellent with no queues or maintenance issues. Couldn’t really ski off piste due to the early season conditions and there wasn’t any fresh snow. If you like apres ski, it’s the place to go.

Great ski trip! Really enjoyed staying at the resort, more of a family vibe there. Night life could be better but apres was a good laugh.

I’m a beginner/intermediate snowboarder and went to Les 2 Alps with my partner and family. This resort was incredible, plenty of blue runs to choose from that suit all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The town itself is beautiful and offers plenty of places to eat and drink. We were very fortunate with the snowfall for the start of our holiday, offering lots of preferred runs and then enjoying a few blue birds on our last days and enjoying the apres ski!

Amazing ski resort! I have been here twice now during Rise festival. It is quite early in the season (early December) so is always a hit or miss with the snow, however the resort is well maintained and groomed so even the slightest bit of snow makes a difference. They had majority of runs open, with some closed due to ice/thin show, however you could still make it top to bottom. They also keep the snow park well maintained.

The Apres Ski is amazing! Pano Bar is great fun & has great food/drinks options.

The food in the resort is great, with my favourite restaurants being The Spot, Chez Nous, Le Raisin d'Ours & Smithy’s tavern. There’s also great bars and clubs with reasonably priced drinks.

Great family friendly resort, it was extremely busy this new year so the lifts queues because the snow wasn’t great and had some closed runs. But the resort really tried hard to keep them open and looking good. I would defo say for people to go it’s a beautiful resort lots to do and apri ski was epic.
From the doable bar and the umbrella bar were my absolute favourites still all family friendly

Loved our time here. My son went from falling over loads on the 1st day to descending at 52mph by the end of the week! Great time. Resort has everything and staff so friendly, all over the mountain.

Here for a week of Rise and snowboarding.

Very good supermarkets for ingredients etc for cooking. Limited restaurant options unfortunately at the resort. Lots of bars though.

Obviously expensive for food up the mountain but well worth it for the views. Food was tasty.

Unfortunately no fresh snow at all whilst we were there so probably not a fair reflection of the slopes. Icy and packed hard by day 3 and slushy further down the mountain. Very stoney in places - but it was early season.

Although when we arrived the mountain was half green half white as the snow started to lay and fill in the rest it really brought the mountain alive. Up on the glacier the powder runs where fantastic and the park was also great to session.
