What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

I went when it was rise festival. It was a scam. Every resultant I went to was terrible and the French serving staff, very rude!

Les 2 Alpes is a fantastic ski resort with an amazing atmosphere, especially during Rise Festival. The whole village felt lively and welcoming, with great food and drink options everywhere you went. Although there was unfortunately no fresh snow during the week and the lower slopes became a bit icy, the overall experience was still brilliant. All in all, Les 2 Alpes is a vibrant, fun resort and well worth a visit.

Although it was a couple of years ago I went to L2A, I had a phenomenal time with my Mum and Dad. We stayed at The Aalborg, which is a great hotel and has options for inclusive wine with meals. The ski runs are great, Pano bar is great, the ESF ski school were fabulous, and non-skiier options for my mum worked really well. Would highly recommend skiing here!

I have been coming here for 20 years and have seen many changes over the years and all for the best use for skiers. The new Jandry and Pierre Grosse lifts are excellent and very efficient. Staff and ski instructors are very happy to help. Slopes for all levels with some free starter lifts. The resort has plenty of accommodation, eateries, bars, and supermarkets to suit all budgets. Easy to get from Grenoble airport via car hire, private transfers or bus. The only issues that I have is budget airlines running from UK do not run to end of ski season. Also Bens Bus spaces are very limited. Great resort overall, l guess that is why I keep coming back to it.

Overall good resort! Very good value for money. Not a huge variety of runs and a lot of the runs filter down into one or two runs to get back to the resort so these tend to be very busy end of day.

Some lovely runs across the resort, especially at the top however due to being a rather vertical resort it can feel quite stuck just going up and down, the slope to get back to the village is packed and horrible at the end of the day and the up and down nature of the resort means that you’re constantly hot then cold. Even though the resort is a decent size it feels smaller as you have to do the same routes every day to get up and down the mountain. The apres was not a good as expected however this may just be as it’s the start of the season

Very good resort with lots of long uninterrupted runs. Lower slopes are not too accessible in April time due to weather conditions and time of year.

Fantastic assortment of options for après ski and where to eat. The new Jandri express gondola was a massive enhancement from my last visit, very quick and spacious. We were astonished at how quiet the slopes were although it was still one of the very first opening weeks of the season very lucky with the snow coverage however I think Snow cannons were used throughout the stay.
