What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

Excellent resort full of life and a very friendly atmosphere! While the resort is on the steeper side and less accessible for complete beginners it has excellent slopes and is well connected with all d’huez! Is also great value for money and a range of accommodation for all holiday types

I went for the Rise Festival which i would highly recommend for any level of skiiers if they want the ski experience mixed with great apres and partying into the night. Even with 20,000 attendees the slopes were relatively quiet and big enough that you could ski comfortably without feeling like the slopes were busy.

Apres was really good especially Belle Etoile however getting down after was a challenge as lots of beginner skiiers would try to ski down and caused the slopes to the village to become very icy.

The restaurants were excellent and well priced meaning it didn’t cost an arm and a leg to eat out. And the accommodation options were vast from luxury chalets to b and bs.

All in all a lovely resort and would highly recommend anyone to visit. I would like to return when the festival is not happening to fully appreciate the slopes.

It was a lot of fun, we went during rise festival which came with pros and cons. There were many people there and apre was great but the 2 slopes back to town were usually half destroyed by all the beginners(drunk) by the end of the day. The reds at the top were lovely though, and the park was a lot of fun. Some of the blues on the right side are a bit flat for snowboarders so watch out for that. Plus buying beer by the 10litre was wonderful I recommend the bars at the bottom of the slopes, they also come with a good view.

Les Deux Alpes was such a lovely resort with a good variety of runs! The new gondola makes it very easy to reach the glacier so you always have the opportunity to ski with snow! Apres ski was fun a a few good places with good atmosphere, food places were great! Lots of big and wide blues which is great for snowboarders! Overall a lovely resort and I will be returning.

I went during rise festival so it was quite busy, but still lots of runs to ski and the lifts were good. Stayed somewhere that had ski in ski out which was great. Food wasn’t very nice here though. But suppose that’s to be expected when you stay in the mountains.

It is a great resort with a variety of terrain. A more advanced resort as the blues were more like reds on some runs but all around a good resort.

Fantastic experience, despite the low snow level, the pistes were very well maintained. Loved the apres over new year and the free shuttle bus was really helpful.

Having never skied before this was a great place to start. Loads of blues that ranged from long and cruisey to wide and steep made this a great resort to practice different skills. Almost never queued for a lift as well. I would say by April the snow nearer the resort was thin and a lot of green runs were closed, but this didn’t bother me at all as further up the mountain the glacier area the coverage was great

We’ve been to Les 2 Alpes a few times and have always enjoyed our time. When considering value, skiing conditions and general vibe - Les 2 Alpes has always been a solid choice for us. The resort is quite high, and they maintain the pistes even when there’s not been much snow. The village is lovely. 43 of us went for New Years, half not skiing but there was still a lot for them to do - ice caves, Venosc, shops, bars etc

Had a lovely time here with an old friend, his son and his friends.

Didn't book the chalet but was reasonably priced and central. Lifts were good and efficient and the snow was great with lots of powder and esy off piste access. Some older lifts but was generally quiet and didn't have any major issues queuing or waiting. Pass was reasonably priced.

Sociable village with plenty options for apres and eating out and easy to get around.
