What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

Fantastic resort, great opportunities for beginners and advanced skiers alike. Transport options around the resort are speedy and efficient, and the Jandri lifts make planning/ meeting friends incredibly easy. The nightlife was great and the scenery was spectacular.

I really enjoy Les 2 Alpes, it's not the biggest resort but it does have a good variety of pistes especially for beginner to intermediate riders. It does have quite a lot of thin and flat runs so if you are a boarder it is worth being aware of that! Due to it's relatively small size and the fact that all pistes lead back down to the resort there is very little need to rely on a map and so days can be spent just riding wherever your heart desires which is fun. The only other drawback is that the snowpark is really quite limited, there's only a handful of features and all quite far from each other which makes meaningfully practicing tricks quite a challenge. But all in all, a solid pick for a week of skiing or boarding!

Les Deux Alpes in December can be hit and miss with the snow as it’s early in the season. But the resort made a big effort with the snow machines to open up as many of the slopes as possible. Snow is less of an issue as you get up to the glacier which has long wide slopes, a great place to practice carving. The resort has a wide variety of bars and restaurants, everything was great quality.

It's a great beginner/intermediate resort, I would definitely recommend it more in the early season as snow conditions can really vary there late season. It's known for it's apres ski and it certainly delivered, plenty of great bars with good music. The main slopes were always busy but especially towards the end of the day as they all converge into one slope if you want to ski back to your chalet. Some nice reds and challenging blacks, had great fun on the mogully blacks. Definitely prefer resorts like Tignes/Val D'Isere but L2A was a great experience and worth it just for the apres ski. Would return again maybe for one of the festivals like Rise but for skiing in general, probably not.

Les 2 alpes is a really good resort. Great for newer skiers as they can experience skiing at high altitude due to easier runs at the top of the mountain. Bar and restaurants all together in one area. Slightly trickier ski back to resort as can get congested with limited routes back. Overall great ski trip and will be going back

Great location and we had a great time. My wife and I were beginners, as were the 3 girls but we all had morning ski lessons and then went solo in the afternoon as well as having fun and games in the snow. We had self catering accommodation but ate out lots. We were completely exhausted at the end of each day!

We had a great time. But the sun had melted a lot of the runs. So it was mostly man made. The snow park was great fun.
The hotel we stayed in was great and had a pool to relax in as well.

I visited for a week in early December for my first time skiing.

The slopes better cater to skiers already confident with blue and red runs, but by the end of the week I was really able to enjoy what was on offer.

The town is compact and easy to explore. Special shout outs to Crazy Frenchie’s and La Grotte du Yetti for some great DJ nights that ran into the early hours.

Good for beginners to intermediates, not a large ski are compared other French resorts. High with glacier so snow-sure. Short transfer form Grenoble. Highlight is top (3600m) to bottom (1280m) in one connected run. La Fee restaurant good, others average, but expect a queue at peak times.

Stayed at Les 2 for 5 days - location is great and can do day trips to other resorts if you fancy a change too. Lifts were efficient and gondolas were always great. The bars and restaurants on the mountain and in the town are fantastic with plenty choice. The runs themselves are good with a diverse range for all styles and levels. Would definitely return.

Great resort, loads of blue and red pistes and good couple of bars and restaurants. Busy in peak season and avoid going down last main blue if icy or at the end of the day, it was carnage. Aside that definitely recommend, good restaurants & vibe

Overall, the skiing wasn’t the best. There was little snow so the slopes were icy and there was little to no powder to go off-piste. The nightlife was great, with a lot of pubs and nightclubs to choose from.

Known for a lively town, however evrything was dead, we often got kicked out of bars because of a private event for uni students. Bars on the mountain are not what they are shown to be on social media.
