What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

Great long-ish runs. Quite busy runs but brilliant ski conditions. Would definitely return. Apres fairly quiet when we went.

Very enjoyable resort, heaps of runs and great lifts to get between areas. Food and drink bit pricey on the mountain but decent in town and easy to get back and forth.

Good runs, great apre ski and nice town. Fairly good lift system, snow patrol could have done better to get more lifts open.

Good resort with some great runs at the very top of the mountain, however there are a lot of flat runs which are tricky for snowboarders. Also think resort could have prepared and opened a lot more runs lower down which were shut when we were there. Decent lift system, with a great brand new gondola. Good apres ski, plenty of options.

Les 2 Alps is a good resort for beginner and intermediate snowboarder or skiers however on a snowboard there a couple of long flats mid mountain you need to be able to navigate which can be a challenge for more novice riders. Some really nice wide piste runs up the glacier but a few busy choke points as you head back towards the resort that need to be navigated with care. Overall think its abit cheaper than other French ski resorts but there are quite a few larger resorts in France with more runs and off piste areas to enjoy.

We have been to Les Deux Alpes twice as a family and have really enjoyed it. The town is along a main central road with loads of easy Slopes to practice on if youre a beginner. Several lifts are free and dont even require a pass. Up higher theres lots of areas to choose from for all levels.

First ever snowboarding holiday, the first green run we did was slim and right next to a cliff.. we learned our lesson and tried some other runs, including some blue and red runs and they were great. We love to go back, but want to try some other locations first!

I went to Les Deux Alpes with a group of friends, some of them never having any experience, the ski school taught them quickly. The slopes were beautiful, the resort and accommodation equally and the apres was very very good.

I visited les 2 alps for new years and the atmosphere of the whole place was amazing lots of lively bouncing pubs and clubs. The skiing was also very good most of the runs were open it got quite slushy near the bottom towards the end of the day but overall I would really recommend this resort.

Here for a week in January with a friend - both intermediate skiers. Blue skies and good snow coverage. Not a massive ski area so we're repeating runs a lot, but conditions are fabulous, views spectacular, the runs are lovely - long and quiet - and no lift queues.
