What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes
Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

The only drawback I see in this resort is the limited number of places to eat and drink, which leads to long queues at the few bars and restaurants available on the slopes. The most well-known spot, The Piano Bar, is very crowded and not well-situated for sun exposure, making it a rather cold place to sit and relax.
Overall, the skiing conditions were fantastic, with breathtaking views and an incredible experience of going up as high as 3,600 meters.
We have been to Les Deux Alpes additionally for Summer skiing on 4 occasions , with its glacier being the largest skiable area in the Alps for July to August period , with the snow park maintained for all standards, including FIS competition standard half-pipe and slopestyle courses.
The lift system is high capacity and queues are rarely more than 15 minutes at morning peak-times for the resort-level main lifts .
The resort has a huge variety of accommodation to choose from to suit most every taste and pocket, with the town itself having a slightly quieter atmosphere than some of the other local and more famous French resorts , but still offering "raucous" apres ski venues if required or many superb restaurants with some wonderful service excellence to experience throughout !
Apres was fun, if a little tame in some places but perfect for a few beers and a dance.
Groomed slopes were excellent but the off piste left a little to be desired.
