What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

Les Deux Alpes has a variety of long (some being probably amongst the longest in the alps), very wide pistes making for easy fast-pace to be maintained even when busy with both skiers and boarders. The varied nature of the red-graded runs is especially appealing , and the altitude ensures low snow fall's preserved well, with Les Deux Alpes pistes almost always guaranteeing great piste-skiing all the way into May every year, with frequent, extensive powder on offer half the time through April .

We have been to Les Deux Alpes additionally for Summer skiing on 4 occasions , with its glacier being the largest skiable area in the Alps for July to August period , with the snow park maintained for all standards, including FIS competition standard half-pipe and slopestyle courses.

The lift system is high capacity and queues are rarely more than 15 minutes at morning peak-times for the resort-level main lifts .

The resort has a huge variety of accommodation to choose from to suit most every taste and pocket, with the town itself having a slightly quieter atmosphere than some of the other local and more famous French resorts , but still offering "raucous" apres ski venues if required or many superb restaurants with some wonderful service excellence to experience throughout !

Great resort with loads to do, snow sure slopes and excellent apres! Can be pricy and busy, and little cover in poor visibility though.

It's a good resort been a couple of times, but it's quite small particularly if the glacier is shut. But the apres is brilliant start up at pano bar and then working down to umbrella, lots of fun to be had, some nice runs back to resort as well just not many runs total and reasonably popular particularly for Rise festival so no quite runs

Really loved my experience at Les 2 Alpes. Everyone was very friendly and the options for eating and drinking were varied and tasty.

Apres was fun, if a little tame in some places but perfect for a few beers and a dance.

Groomed slopes were excellent but the off piste left a little to be desired.

Beautiful resort. Theres enough skiing for a week but doesnt quite match paradiski or three valleys. Runs get very busy on an evening head back to resort level. Not a lot of bars/restaurants on the slopes. Few restaurants and bars on the slopes.

I went to Les Deux alpes in January I went with crystal ski and was led to believe the hotel was in the middle of the resort which it wasnt it was on the slopes and ski in ski out but not suitable for first time to ski in or out or families it was stuck a 15 minute bus ride from the centre of the resort so you could not go out at night the hotel itself le belambra was ideal for children lots of activities for them to do on site but for me travelling on my own was not suitable the food was awful and I got some kind of sickness bug on the second day and didnt spend much time skiing because of the distance from the resort centre and because I couldnt keep any food down the slopes were quite crowded I like Les deux alpes as a resort although the weather wasnt great hence the good slopes being crowded I will definitely return to Les deux alpes but would not use crystal ski again or stay at le belambra

Went for a week with a group of 4 friends. My second ever boarding holiday and the resort really did not disappoint. The Apres Ski and nightlife were top notch, very lively ski village. There are some excellent green, blue and red runs, we managed to do most of the mountain and explored all over whilst still having a challenge. The glacier runs are a cool unique USP, and the 'whoop de whoops', boardercross and slalom runs were cool fun extras. The snowpark wasn't as comprehensive as I was expecting, but had a lot of fun with sidehits across the runs still. The lift systems and brand new gondolas to get to the top of he glacier were fantastic, a real worthwhile investment. Snow quality was okay - Almost all runs were open and there was enough snow coverage to explore off piste a little between runs. However it was very hard packed and got more and more icy throughout the week. We had no fresh snowfall whilst there. It was still rideable and enjoyable however, just had to be on the ball. Overall a 9/10 experience, some fresh POW would have made it a 10! Would definitely go back.

The new Jandri Express made a massive difference in saving time getting to the top. Great, reasonable accommodation available ski in/out. Not many apres options but really lovely town with lots of restaurants and supermarkets for self catering.

Been to Les 2 Alpes 4 times now such a great value for money resort! Majority of slopes at high altitude so great snow even in March! I know some people dont like the lack of run outs back down to town as the blue and green back down can get pretty busy at the end of the day but easy to download via lifts or the black run down is always quiet so not a bother for me. New jiandri lift has improved lift system so much even has new nice warm indoor picnic area with microwave, sinks etc. under the middle lift great for cold days!

A good resort but gets tracked out early, plenty of off piste to find and the more effort you put in to find it the more chance of gave powder and track free. Can get busy especially at Jandri lift first thing. High altitude so good chance of snow.

Great resort, not great snow by mid April but still had a blast. Umbrella bar is always a good time after a day on the slopes. The big ungroomed black down into the town is fun

I really enjoyed this ski resort. Umbrella and Pano bar was fun as well as the other venues like avalanche and everything was in walking distance. The new Jandri ski lift was right next to my accommodation which made it quick and convenient accessing. I also enjoyed the supermarket and the takeaway pizza place. The actual accommodation I was in however was terrible but I think there are other accommodations that are better if you are willing to pay from what I have heard. I liked the slopes and there were a good amount of red and blue runs (as well as black but I didnt go on any during my trip). I would recommend overall as I think the easy access to everything makes the resort stand out.

My favourite resort in terms of range for ability, ski type with plenty of off piste and very well kept runs. Ability for all abilities to go right to the top of the glacier so very inclusive. Very friendly and always recommend
