What Skiers Say About La Tania
La Tania is a small, purpose-built resort located between Courchevel and Meribel in the Three Valleys, attracting primarily families and mixed-ability groups. Reviewers consistently mention easy access to the wider Three Valleys ski area via a single gondola, ski-in/ski-out accommodation options, and significantly lower prices compared to neighbouring Courchevel. The tree-lined Folyères blue run back to the village is frequently praised, though several users note it can become icy or challenging for beginners later in the season. The Ski Lodge pub is repeatedly cited as the main après-ski venue with live music, while eating and nightlife options are limited to a handful of establishments. Most reviewers describe the atmosphere as relaxed and family-friendly rather than lively.

Love it
The village is full of great bars and restaurants with Pub Le Ski Lodge being a favourite.
A family friendly ski village which is more affordable than the main sections of the mountain range.
In terms of entertainment, there are a few options, but is definitely not a first choice in the three valleys for apre activities. There are only a handful of bars, and a few restaurant options (high recommend checking these out).
Friendly folks all over town, so very pleasant. Especially at the ski hire shops, extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile when one of our group was in a bind (higher level of service indeed).
All in all, one of my favourites to go to, as it has great access to the other valleys, while still remaining charming in being a small, friendly, well-equipped town.
Rental shops could have been more helpful
Its a fairly quiet resort, especially in non-peak times.
Amazing for families as everything is very easily accessible and close together is the benefits of a smaller resort
But for those wanting to venture further afield, there is great access to other resorts, such as Courchevel , using only a few lifts to get there
The blue run that enters. The town from the top of the gondola is an amazing undulating tree Run, with lots of little cuts Throughs and ski trails through the trees at the side of the main slope.
There are limited places to eat out, but as long as you book in advance, you shouldnt have any issues, although there is also a small supermarket where frozen pizzas can always be bought!
For such a small resorts, there are actually some quite good off piste sections down through trees and drops off rocks all under the lift line, so youve got to make sure you dont fall otherwise youre gonna hear the shouts and laughter from the lift
The green run into the local town can get quite steep in the corners, and sometimes quite icy in the later season as the snow coverage gets less But within the town itself the nursery and very beginner Slopes are very easily accessible with a drag lift.
There are multiple options for different schools which all deliver lessons in multiple languages. I myself have had group lessons as a child and private more focused lessons as I progressed.
Id Say overall La tania best suits families, looking for a no fuss holiday, more often in chalets as there are lots to choose from.
Ive been back to this resort, maybe 10 times over the years with different groups and abilities, and everyone always comes away Happy
