What Skiers Say About La Tania

La Tania is a small, purpose-built resort located between Courchevel and Meribel in the Three Valleys, attracting primarily families and mixed-ability groups. Reviewers consistently mention easy access to the wider Three Valleys ski area via a single gondola, ski-in/ski-out accommodation options, and significantly lower prices compared to neighbouring Courchevel. The tree-lined Folyères blue run back to the village is frequently praised, though several users note it can become icy or challenging for beginners later in the season. The Ski Lodge pub is repeatedly cited as the main après-ski venue with live music, while eating and nightlife options are limited to a handful of establishments. Most reviewers describe the atmosphere as relaxed and family-friendly rather than lively.

Really enjoyed la tania as an easy way to access the 3 valleys without everything that comes with the bigger meribel and courchevel. Travelled as a mixed group of 12, something for everyone

Lovely resort, good value bar and shops

Limited snow before our trip meant that the green run into La Tania was shut and the conditions on the blue run not as good as usual - patches of ice and cut up slopes.

Very nice chalet.

Great experience in a chalet at la Tania. Really chilled vibe with friendly chalet staff and great apre ski at The Ski Lodge.
La Tania doesn't have the best ski runs for beginners, but I did a few days on the bunny slopes which were empty and then went up and did some greens and tried a blue.
Would definitely come back to la Tania and will continue to learn to ski.

La Tania is great for access to 3 valleys ski area. Quite limited for night life with only a couple of bars in town, although one of them is the ski lodge which is lively and good for a lunch. Courcheval is really good for all kinds of skiing, not good for apre unfortunately as the closest proper apre place is the ronny in meribel and you have to get a bus or taxi back to la tania.

Great resort for access to lifts right into the heart of courcheval. Fab variety of runs that are easy to navigate and the lifts don’t have huge queues. Can follow the sun around the slopes as the day progresses by moving across the 3 valleys

Brilliant spot with super easy access over to courchevel and meribel. Great chalets, some barely off the pistes. Have been here many many times and loved it every time. Super family friendly spot if staying in chalets outside of town centre. Lovely runs down and easy access to 3 vallées domaine for greater skiing.

Bars are limited but the ones that are there are really good. Transfers can be expensive but the journey to the resort is good. Buying ski passes is very easy and lots of ski rental places around.

Beautiful tree lined runs with access to the amazing 3valleys, what’s not to like? Can be expensive but there are also cheaper options like the bakery in the shopping centre at 1850 or skiing Dow to Saint Martin. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic site the 3 valley's La Tania has something for everyone prices are quite reasonable compared to Courchvel, restaurants very good nice combination of families and couples the village life is very friendly, also plenty to do for non skiers, there is an ice rink cross country skiing woodland walks with snow shoes just a great atmosphere and a few ski schools (very good at teaching children )one in full English run by British people, such a beautiful area well recommended I have been a few times to this area,

Great resort for accessibility and ski in- ski out. Varied runs and plenty of access to other resorts. We skied from the moment the lifts opened until the last one home and didn’t run out of places to go.

We had 9 skiers of varying abilities, from first timers using the ski schools to experienced skiers exploring the 3 valleys. Even though there wasn’t enough snowfall, the resort made a sufficient amount of snow to keep nearly all of the runs open. We all had an amazing week.

Great resort with fabulous access to the extensive Three Valley area. We love the resort for the great skiing as well as the great bars and restaurant options. The place is perfect for families as well as groups of friends. I don’t think you could beat the place as your location in the Three Valleys.

The accommodation options are very good however on very pricier side. It is family friendly resort with options of good quality restaurants. Has a esf ski school for beginners and 2 beginner slopes with access to a Bubble lift. Few ski equipment rental shops available to choose. Ski pass is on expensive side compared to other ski resorts in alps.

La Tania is a very nice village on the edge of Courchevel, its on the cheeper side as well which always adds a bonus. There are 2 main pubs (ski Lodge and Tiger), both have great live music multiple times a week all winter and drinks aren't horrific prices. All round a great place to stay and should definitely look into it if looking for an amazing ski holiday in a convenient location.

Friendly, relaxed and down to earth ski resort. La Tania is a small ski town with all the amenities you could want and a fantastic and lively apres bar. Lots of ski rental places and equipment shops and a small supermarket. Only downside is there's just two restaurants to eat out in but good news is the creperie is brilliant but book ahead as it gets busy for dinner. Good nursery slope in town to have lessons on as an adult or child with a carpet lift. The Le Tania bubble lift up is good but can be tricky as a beginner to then get over to the easier green slopes around Courcheval. Can be done but not ideal as blues are much easier to do. And the Bubble Lift down shuts by 5pm (check, might be 4.30) and the green route down into town is actually more of a blue so can be scary for beginners. Or you can get the free bus to La Praz where the cable car runs much later and takes you straight up into Courcheval 1850, which is so overpriced. You can also get over into Meribel which has great slopes and lovely restaurants half way up the mountain. Our very ambitious pals got over to Val Thorens and back before the lifts shut. Would definitely stay here again!

You have direct access to Les Trois Vallées which gives you lots of options. La Tania is good for beginners to intermediate skiers but experts can travel further throughout Les Trois Vallees. Runs are tree lined which is good for visibility when weather conditions are bad. The village itself is quiet and less flashy/expensive than Courcheval 1850
