Ischgl Review Summary
Ischgl attracts predominantly intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders who consistently praise the extensive, well-groomed piste network and modern, efficient lift system with heated seats. The après-ski scene is frequently described as among the best in Austria, with lively bars both on-mountain and in the village, though this party atmosphere may not suit all visitors. Snow quality and grooming receive high marks, with many noting the resort's high altitude ensures good conditions into spring. Common complaints centre on the busy, steep, and mogulled home runs back to the village in the afternoon, high prices for accommodation and on-mountain dining, and limited terrain suitable for beginners.

Be prepared for some big moguls on valley runs from around 3pm - get the lift down if you’re not confident skiing these conditions.
Apres ski hands down the widlest ive ever had anywhere, couple of 4am'ers in there if thats what you're looking for! And absolute Austrian bangers booming out in every bar!
Somewhat dangerous if you don't pay attention with many runs converging into one general area.. witnessed a couple of collisions because people are criss-crossing on their way to the many lifts!
Great groomed trails but got scraped up quickly. Some good powder zones that are in both Ischgl and Samnaun.
If you're into Apres ski this is your spot! Great night life and good food!
Stayed at Hotel Antony!
Amazing ownership, immaculate accommodations, great/friendly staff and good food! Highly recommend!
The slopes are next level quality as they are groomed back to perfection every night, and the snow due to the altitude is always bang on.
The town is amazing with literally hundreds of different eating out options, with a very family friendly vibe to it.
It is very nice to be able to have a short 200 to 300 metre walk to the lift and then be on the mountain.
The town also has an incredible thermal spa (think volcanic Iceland vibes) - the list goes on!
Althoug the main area of blue runs in the centre of the mountain were busy at New Year, there is plenty to cover a weeks skiing, didn’t even venture to the other nearby towns. All other runs are well managed and there is plenty to explore with a huge range of runs for intermediate, even over into Switzerland. Not so many runs back into the town for beginners. Apres is fun and there is a good choice. Hill closes at 5 and skiers can be fined for being out in town in ski boots later so there is a distinct day and evening activities.
I can’t wait to go back again.
