What Skiers Say About Ischgl

Ischgl attracts predominantly intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders who consistently praise the extensive, well-groomed piste network and modern, efficient lift system with heated seats. The après-ski scene is frequently described as among the best in Austria, with lively bars both on-mountain and in the village, though this party atmosphere may not suit all visitors. Snow quality and grooming receive high marks, with many noting the resort's high altitude ensures good conditions into spring. Common complaints centre on the busy, steep, and mogulled home runs back to the village in the afternoon, high prices for accommodation and on-mountain dining, and limited terrain suitable for beginners.

Best all-round resort for ski and night life. If Weather is good the skiing would be unbeatable. Apres is good DJ based dance music. I didn't see any live bands.

Lift pass for adult 6 days was 387 Euro.

Advertised end of season music concerts look awesome. Will be back for sure

Beautiful resort from the top of the mountain and right down to the valley floor and across the village. A great variety of terrain and 3 well- signposted circuits to ensure riders of all abilities can cover the miles and check out the whole ski area. On mountain restaurants are world class (avoid the resort owned canteens). The journey around to Samnaun is breath taking and the cablecar or is super efficient.
When the snow falls, loop the Val Gronda cablecar until your legs seize up!
At the end of the day, the resort has several apres bars that kick off early and run until late. The great range of hotels in the resort ensure excellent dining options. Also check out the traditional bakeries' fancies! Yum!
There are only 3 lift stations up the mountain and they get busy early... best to avoid Silvrettabahn up and walk across town for Fimbabahn bubble. Resort runs home at the end of the day are fun but do get hairy... no shame in taking the lift back to resort!
Get out and savour this pearl of the Austrian Alps!

The resort is easily accessed from Innsbruck Airport with a short transfer time. There is a good choice of quality accommodation and different price points, all within easy reach of the various lift stations departing from town. The resort's apres-ski and nightlife is legendary and adds to the relatively decent ski area which offers ample skiing for a week long holiday.
