What Skiers Say About Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb attracts skiers and snowboarders across all ability levels, from beginners to experts. Reviewers consistently praise the massive skiable terrain across two mountains, the variety of runs including off-piste and tree skiing, and the efficient lift system connecting Whistler and Blackcomb via the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Snow conditions are frequently mentioned as variable, with several users noting rain at lower elevations, icy patches, and inconsistent coverage depending on the season. The resort is repeatedly described as expensive, with high costs for lift tickets, accommodation, food, and dining both on and off the mountain. Lift queues, particularly on weekends and peak times, are a common complaint, with waits of 20-40 minutes reported at busy periods.

Great! Luckily had perfect weather but have also been there early season with long lines, only some runs open. Cab be hit or miss. Expensive if you don’t by the seasons pass by like last week in Nov!

Whistler and blackcomb are both unbelievably fun and variety-filled mountains to ski. This resort truly has it all: wide trails, friendly vibes, terrific snow, fabulous instructors. We will definitely be coming back!

Had a nice hot tub suite, ski or board right to the lifts. Only delay was the initial lifts up but after that it was pretty smooth, a few waits after that.

Was lucky to have great weather and visibility and the view from the peaks were amazing 360 views.

Amazing Easter trip with family. Fortunate to have a few massive snow dumps and relatively quiet pistes due to the time of year. But, everything was considerably more expensive than Europe. A once in a lifetime trip

Given the lack of resorts open in the Pacific Northwest region in December 2025 Whistler Blackcomb was amazing with its awesome terrain in the alpine to have as much as they did have open when the wind cooperated. So lucky to play in these beautiful mountains with their outstanding lift networks and gondolas to ride to connect and take in the spectacular scenery. So grateful to experience skiing joy so close to the coastline and Vangroovy city nearby. So special. Love Whistler ❤️

Whistler Blackcomb earns a strong 4.5 out of 5 for snowboarding thanks to its unbeatable atmosphere and massive variety of terrain. The energy on the mountain is incredible, from the lively village to the chairlifts filled with riders from all over the world. There’s something for every level: long groomers, playful tree runs, steep bowls, and world-class terrain parks. You can ride fresh lines for days without repeating the same run. While it can get busy at peak times, the sheer size of the resort spreads people out, making it an unforgettable snowboarding experience.

The terrain is expansive, the night life is super fun but has an underground feel (if you know you know) and some has some of the best food Canada has to offer. Plenty to do off the mountain and core memories are waiting to be made.

My father is Canadian so we visit Whistler often and it is my favourite ski resort. However I have not tried many resorts in Europe. You have the choice of 2 mountains with easy access to both via a large Gondola with beautiful views, so there is plenty of skiing to be done. The village is stunning with lovely bars and restaurants. There is a free shuttle bus service to take you around the area to different restaurants and your accommodation. It is truly magical there and we love it!

Apres doesn’t really exist in Canada. You have to come back down to the village to drink.
Food on Whistler mountain is terrible, it is all frozen food, that is sold for a ridiculous price.
There are a lot of people, on the slopes and sometimes there can be huge queues for lifts. Luckily the lifts do operate relatively well.
If you like off-piste skiing this is the place for you. Also I believe first tracks is worth it

World class resort for sure! Just wish it wasn’t $300 a day. That’s just crazy for a resort because the line waits are crazy long

Little light on snow early December 2025, but still great skiing. Lines bit too long. Runs are great - beginner to expert, so something for all on both mountains - Whistler and Blackcomb.

The resort, the general 2 mountains area and village were beautiful with lots to do even if you aren't into winter sports, from all the bars/restaurants to the lifts and friendliness of staff, the top area where the green runs were, were simply breathtaking of the whole village and mountains surrounding. But my personal favorite was the views from the peak to peak, a true marvel of am experience, I'm more of a novice but with a resort like that, it makes me want to learn so much more

I've lived in Whistler for 5 years, I really enjoy the life. There is a ton of fun terrain to explore if you're not afraid of going off piste. Lifts can be busy on holidays and weekends but they're generally quick.
