One of the best ski resorts ever. A little on the pricy side but worth ever penny. There is something for everyone, even the non skier there's plenty of shops, bars and spas to enjoy. Can't wait to go back

When the snow is good, its mid week, and its sunny its the best place in North America. Vail, however, has a hard time grooming effectively and opening terrain quickly after a good snow (which, really, is bad given thats the whole point) and their uplift capacity, particularity with the Whistler gondola stopping or not running reliably, creates huge line and unhappy skiers on weekends. Also the mediocre food on the mountain is soooo expensive: we almost always pack a lunch. We have a place a whistler and still choose to spend at least a week skiing in the interior each tear, where fresh lines are avail, you might have to wait a whole minute to get on a chair, and a cinnamon bun is only 4$.

I would say if you are looking to ride for a long time and are exploring as many runs as possible, carrying a lightweight bag with snack bars, water and possibly sandwiches would be ideal choice. Always, have a group of people when riding tree runs or more hidden areas as it will be very crucial to your safety. I would say that do your research before going as this locations is elegant but comes with a cost ($$$$). Always check the weather the night before to see what the conditions are to know if conditions are good and always have fun! Ask locals of good spots as they are welcoming to assist you!

Whistler staff is awesome. Great pattern great runs speed lifts were amazingly quick. The food is incredible. The black runs are epic.

Whistler has amazing terrain for all levels. I have been skiing there for years and still find new areas.

Best skiing in years. Groomers are perfect not too busy, lifts are quick and well designed. The village is one of the most fun places, for any age. Whistler is a must do.

The best time! I recommend whistler to anyone who skis or snowboards, not to anyone who doesn't! The village overcrowds with non-sport tourists which is one thing I don't love, but otherwise it's the best!

Vail no longer grooms the best run, peak to creek, the cost of day ticket is 300.00, the food is absolutely terrible, the customer service at their stores ( canal) is terrible with high costs and a fee to try on ski boots, there is not enough parking, the amount of people not being moved around the mountain quick enough causes lift line toxicity, the mountain needs to add another upload from cheackamus to the top and add more parking to lessen the congestion on highway 99, the aprés is mint and the nightlife is wild, the towns amenities and other activities is also great. Vail does not care about their clients, but the safety, while it is an old boys club still, does provide excellent safety on hill with doctors on both mountains to add world class safety, however, it is a money grab. Ski Whitwster in Nelson BC instead, both of which I have skied. Ive skied whistler for 30 years, the best parts of Whistler are found at Whitewater, with non of the negatives. More vertical is gained per minute of your day due to zero lift time lines. The vibe is nontoxic, its cheaper and actually cares about the client, not only in terms of safety.

Seriously one of the best places I have ever gone to ski. People are very nice and are fun to be around. The lines in the morning can be long but once everyone is up on the mountain and dispersed, getting more than 12 runs in is quite feasible especially since the runs are longer. Powder is excellent. Depending where you are from the trip to get to whistler is a hike for sure but once you are there you are in this amazing skiing world. Night life could be better but apres ski is more popular.

World class resort for good reason. Has a little bit of everything you would ever need on a mountain: groomers, mogul fields, steepes, bowls, glades, chutes. The list goes on and on. Sometimes the lift lines can get out of control but usually are no longer than 15 minutes, from what I have experienced. Free parking in certain lots and priority carpool parking in lot 7 and 8 until 11AM. Snowboarders should stay on Blackcomb because of the higher vertical and less traverses. Whistler has some nice runs, but at the expense of unstrapping to walk up small hills or a bit of skating to get where you need to go. Designated family zone on Whistler Mountain too. And we aren't talking about one tiny hill, it's a LARGE zone where ski patrol enforces the speed limit to make sure you and your children are having fun and safe. Don't be bummed out if you are there riding with your beginner kids, the family zone runs are long in length, and mellow in vertical. Fantastic mountain(s) but comes at a price!
