What Skiers Say About Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb attracts skiers and snowboarders across all ability levels, from beginners to experts. Reviewers consistently praise the massive skiable terrain across two mountains, the variety of runs including off-piste and tree skiing, and the efficient lift system connecting Whistler and Blackcomb via the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Snow conditions are frequently mentioned as variable, with several users noting rain at lower elevations, icy patches, and inconsistent coverage depending on the season. The resort is repeatedly described as expensive, with high costs for lift tickets, accommodation, food, and dining both on and off the mountain. Lift queues, particularly on weekends and peak times, are a common complaint, with waits of 20-40 minutes reported at busy periods.

I’ve visited whistler blackcomb over a dozen times now and I will keep going back. It’s pricy but so worth it, you get two mountains to ski on, incredible views, and an amazing village to explore apres ski.

The mountain is amazing, lift lines were almost non existing. Unlimited terrain of every variety.
End of March weather was warm and sunny and beautiful.
Howerever everything from day passes to drinks and meals are WAY overpriced compared to any top resort in Europe.
I enjoyed the mountain, my favorite mountain so far but due to high prices I will be trying out new resorts in Europe, Austri and Japan before even considering returning to Whistler

Whistler/Blackcomb offers an extensive network of ski lifts and runs. Its blue runs are, on average, comparable in difficulty to black trails in the United States. Snow conditions can be challenging depending on the weather, with frequent icy patches. Lift ticket prices are astronomical, so if you plan to ski at Whistler/Blackcomb, purchasing a ski pass during the off-season is highly recommended.
The village features a wide selection of pubs and restaurants. Food and drinks are generally of high quality, and prices are reasonable compared with those in the United States. Accommodation options are abundant, with comfortable lodges, many of which are located within a 10-minute walk of the three main gondolas.
If possible, I recommend visiting in March. Overall, Whistler/Blackcomb is an excellent and enjoyable ski resort offering a wide range of options for skiers.

Blackcomb mountain and whistler had even crowds, with blackcomb slightly less crowded. Solid blues but very long runs considering previous skiing in Colorado, could be an issue for some unfit people

Whistler is a beautiful Canadian resort close to Vancouver. The infrastructure is excellent, lifts, accommodation and bars and restaurants are superb. Off piste and tree runs are unlike anything in Europe. Lift passes are expensive so search for deals.

I have been to Whistler 9 times in my life over the years, while it gets more expensive each year, it is still such a special year place. The town is magical, 7th heaven with fresh power is also amazing. Highly recommend

Made a ski trip out after buying myself the Epic pass and this is by far the best skiing I’ve done in my life. Very little people on the bowls, a lot of heavy snow and very good on hill accommodations. In terms of terrain, this mountain resort has it all. It’s a must for the North-Am Roxan ski scene.

When living in Whistler, Blackcomb quickly became my favourite of the two mountains. The variety of runs is excellent and the snow was great the whole season. Terrain park is awesome for beginners and pros alike. The downsides are ticket prices if you don’t have a season pass, and the fact that you have to line up at 5:30 am on a pow day to get a good spot in line on one of the gondolas up the mountains. Once you’re up the gondola there’s a good amount of chairs to distribute to though. Whistler for sure has the best apres ski I’ve ever been to and the peak2peak gondola is super unique.

Have skied most of the big western U.S. and Alps resorts having lived in Switzerland for 5 years. Whistler has everything you need and enough terrain variety for all levels and weather conditions. The village is beautiful and so much to offer.

Overall, Whistler Blackcomb was amazing! Both mountains are well taken care of and the staff are very lovely. Prices are high but definitely worth it! Be sure to get out the door early in the day to make it worth while because the gondola lines can get very long very quickly!
