What Skiers Say About Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb attracts skiers and snowboarders across all ability levels, from beginners to experts. Reviewers consistently praise the massive skiable terrain across two mountains, the variety of runs including off-piste and tree skiing, and the efficient lift system connecting Whistler and Blackcomb via the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Snow conditions are frequently mentioned as variable, with several users noting rain at lower elevations, icy patches, and inconsistent coverage depending on the season. The resort is repeatedly described as expensive, with high costs for lift tickets, accommodation, food, and dining both on and off the mountain. Lift queues, particularly on weekends and peak times, are a common complaint, with waits of 20-40 minutes reported at busy periods.

Skied at Whistler throughout the years as I live in Vancouver. The mountain s well as the village are amazing, everyone is kind, there is a fun family side as well as an amazing night life! Would recommend to any skier as there are a vast majority of runs for different types of skiers beginner or advanced.

Whistler is a dream resort. Was fortunate to have fresh powder and sunshine on Dec 23rd. I took my 15 year old son and his friend and we had a blast. We did mostly greens and blues. I wouldve liked to do more but its good to ski with the group and I wanted to slay best to the boys . The lift at the base of whistler can have a long lineup so we got there at opening time. We were on the mountain in about an hour. After the first run, recommend stopping in at Chic Pea for freshly baked common buns which are available at 11 each day. We did the emerald express chair a few tines and then had lunch at the Peak to Peak. Including a cheeky margarita before taking the Gindola across to Blackcomb. It really was the perfect way out. Long beautiful groomed trail, I think it was called Easy Out. Arrive right down in the village ready for apres. Best day. We hope to return soon. The conditions and weather were perfect. . Solo mom day out to remember. The kids loved it.

Skiing in Whistler is a great experience! The mountains are gorgeous and the food is pretty good. Theres also a lot to do besides skiing (gondola, exploring the village, biking and hiking in the summer). Downside is its a really busy and popular ski resort so lines tend to be long for everything (ski lift, food, gear step up, etc)

Whistiler Blackcomb has lots of varied terrain and some amazing above alpine skiing when the visibility is good. The biggest issue is the number of people up there on any given weekend or powder day. The lift lines can be quite long from December to March. April and May offer some fantastic spring skiing options though. Lots of great food and apes options in the Village as well. Accommodations can be pricey during peak season, but deals can be found in shoulder season.

Whistler is great for purist skiers, amazing runs and off piste options. The main uplifts are always very busy. However, the resort does not have any charm, it's like being I in a modern day out of town shopping mall and the on slope food options awful.

WB is a truly awesome spot to ski with so many epic options for people at all skill levels. Make the most of the peak chair running when you can. Queues for lifts can be catastrophic, especially on weekends and during holiday periods, so if you can visit off-peak you will have the best time. The village is perfect for apres at the end of the day... can't recommend it enough!

I really enjoyed my trip to Whistler. I would recommend renting a car and driving to the base rather than stay in the village because it was way too expensive. Luckily the drive is beautiful and not too long.

The runs and terrain was impeccable. Great powder the days I was there and the views were also amazing. There are a lot of options from groomed tracks to Backcountry terrain. There is something for everyone but I would say that it is more suited towards advanced skiers.

Overall I would definitely go back again and ski this season. 100% would recommend to visit at least once if you're an avid skier!

Awesome place - two great mountains in one - plenty of ways to get up the mountain. Good range of food options up top. We were very unfortunate with the weather as it was unseasonably mild but still had a ball. Its like Disneyland on snow. The drive up from Vancouver is special too. Very friendly resort with loads of bars and restaurant choice.

Ir is hard ro rate this ski hill fairly because the snow was really bad when we went. It felt like an ice rink going down most runs and some weren't even open. And this was in February... anyways if I were to assume better snow conditions whistler would be amazing, over four days we didn't run out of runs to try, and the lifts were great. I wouldn't go on a weekend tho cause the lifts were starting to get way busier on the Friday already.

I have been skiing for 50+ years and have visited many ski resorts.
Whistler can be intimidating because of the size but no need to freak.
Just get out and explore they have snow hosts or guides if you want to max out your time on the hill.
Great food and accommodations like most things now yes its expensive but you can do it on the cheap if needed

Super expensive, but world class. Love the student pass, grateful to be close to this hill. Lines are super long on weekends and holidays. If you can, go at off peak times!! Especially love Symphony chair.

A fun resort, with lots of terrain. Quite busy, on the weekend and holidays. Best to visit during the week if possible. Buy an edge pass to save on lift tickets as they are very expensive. Quite a few options for food in the village, fancy and budget.

Beautiful large resort - both the mountain and the village. Probably one of the best in North America. Lots of pros. Cons: everything is expensive, long lines
