What Skiers Say About Sun Peaks
Sun Peaks attracts primarily intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families being a significant visitor group. Reviewers consistently highlight the large terrain spread across three mountains, minimal lift queues even during peak periods, and exceptionally well-groomed runs. The resort is described as quiet and uncrowded compared to other BC destinations, with a small pedestrian village offering ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Common criticisms centre on limited restaurant options requiring advance booking, lack of vibrant nightlife or après-ski atmosphere, and variable snow conditions with some seasons experiencing rain or thin coverage. Several users note the resort can feel over-groomed for those seeking powder.

The hills are wide, and the snow is light and powdery. The sun is almost always shining and you feel super happy all day.
I may be biased because I grew up going to this mountain, but am always backed up on my opinion by people I meet who do not have the same relationship with the mountain as I do. I now live in the US and have skiers tell me about how they went to sun peaks and fell in love the mountain.
Go! GO!!!
Very family friendly and the food at bottoms is incredible, lots of local cafes on resort and all have great baked goods.
Trees and glades are/can be extremely tight here which make for challenging and fun skiing, but is extremely tough for people used to nice open glades like sunshine or revelstoke.
