What Skiers Say About Sun Peaks
Sun Peaks attracts primarily intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families being a significant visitor group. Reviewers consistently highlight the large terrain spread across three mountains, minimal lift queues even during peak periods, and exceptionally well-groomed runs. The resort is described as quiet and uncrowded compared to other BC destinations, with a small pedestrian village offering ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Common criticisms centre on limited restaurant options requiring advance booking, lack of vibrant nightlife or après-ski atmosphere, and variable snow conditions with some seasons experiencing rain or thin coverage. Several users note the resort can feel over-groomed for those seeking powder.

If Sunpeak has night ski would be much better.Big white has a better Terrain Park than Sunpeak, but Sunpeaks park is not bad at all.
Even though the weather this 2023/2024 season has not been ideal \, the mountain ops team did a wonderful job with their grooming to work with what they had.
There of plenty of dining options in the quaint village and although there are not many hotels, we were able to book a longer term rental through one of their management companies.
All in all, Sun Peaks is a great mountain for all ski levels and I would highly recommend it.
The ski school caters to all, children or adult, private or group. It also has an adaptive sport school that allows anyone to discover and enjoy skiing.
The views from all 3 mountains will take your breath away, and, of course, the staffs smiles will most definitely make you forget the dark thoughts you may have had coming in.
A beautiful gem in the interior of BC
The unique ski through village is amazing allowing you to stop at shops on your way to the lift or to grab a coffee from the many amazing cafes.
After a hard day of skiing there are amazing bars that offer apres. If you want the busy party atmosphere head to Bottoms right at the bottom of the lifts. Or somewhere you can sit down and be cozy. Head up to Cahilty Creek just off the Gentle Giant run.
I cant put into words how much of an enjoyable experience Sun Peaks is. No lift line or crowds and long runs with amazing grooming or powder.
Make sure to get yourself up here in British Columbia.
3 mountains to choose from, easy terrain to get beginners going but some intense runs for the more advanced skier. The gils are powder heaven and the off-piste tree runs are a blast.
With the busiest day of the year last week and the queues for the lift never exceeding 10 mins, this place allows you to get plenty of runs in.
Highly recommend!
