What Skiers Say About Cypress Mountain

Cypress Mountain is the largest of three local resorts within 30 minutes of downtown Vancouver, attracting all skill levels from beginners to experts. Users consistently highlight the proximity to the city, night skiing availability, stunning views of Vancouver and Howe Sound, and a good variety of terrain including tree runs. The resort is frequently described as busy, particularly on weekends, with long lift queues and parking challenges. Snow conditions are variable due to the coastal location, often icy or affected by rain. Pricing is seen as high relative to the mountain's size, especially for food. Despite these issues, it remains the preferred local option for Vancouver-area riders.

I am currently doing my first season at cypress. In which I love it there is a wide variety of runs. However u must check the weather as this season there has been a lot of rain in which has lead to a lot of ice and slush on the on piest runs. But on powder days which are rare but do happen the tree runs are insane !!

Cypress offers the most terrain of the three north shore mountains, but comes at the cost of high prices, long lift lines, and a hard time parking. The night skiing is pretty good, with a fair number of runs open and shorter lines. The main green runs are usually crowded, but you can find some nice turns by seeking out blues and blacks. Check out the Sky Chair for great 360 views of Vancouver and Howe Sound!

Very good ski resort at North vancouver and Vancouver doors.
40 minutes to go there and good for 3 or 4 hours skiing or snowboarding.
Open at night too perfect for an after-work session.

They have night skiing and this is probably the best ski mountain in Vancouver. Go during the week or at night to avoid crowds.

Mountain is a bit small though so if your looking for more expert trails go up to Whistler

Cypress generally is a very good option and is my favourite of the 3 local mountains in Vancouver (cypress, Seymour, grouse).

Cypress is probably the best out of the 3 north shore mountain resorts. The only problems with it is the lift lines are long most of the time and the lift tickets are 140 dollars most of the time which makes it more viable to go up to whistler and shell out the 50 bucks more
