What Skiers Say About Cypress Mountain
Cypress Mountain is the largest of three local resorts within 30 minutes of downtown Vancouver, attracting all skill levels from beginners to experts. Users consistently highlight the proximity to the city, night skiing availability, stunning views of Vancouver and Howe Sound, and a good variety of terrain including tree runs. The resort is frequently described as busy, particularly on weekends, with long lift queues and parking challenges. Snow conditions are variable due to the coastal location, often icy or affected by rain. Pricing is seen as high relative to the mountain's size, especially for food. Despite these issues, it remains the preferred local option for Vancouver-area riders.

Pros of cypress for me is that there are two main lifts so if ones busy you could just go to the other one. Each lifts has many runs with side paths. I have yet to need any actual repairs on my board but I have changed the angle of my boot mounts with the handy work stations they have. One of the last things I like about cypress is the fact that if you get a good enough parking spot youre able to snowboard straight to your car.
In conclusion add more bathrooms then cypress will be goated. :)
Currently not enough snow :(
The lift system is efficient, though it can get busy on weekends, so arriving early is recommended. Snow quality is generally good, especially after fresh snowfall, but conditions can be variable due to its lower elevation. The après-ski scene is cozy, with a well-stocked lodge and friendly staff. While expert skiers may find it less challenging, Cypress is a perfect spot for intermediates seeking a balanced and scenic skiing experience.
