What Skiers Say About Verbier

Verbier attracts primarily intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, with reviewers consistently noting excellent off-piste terrain, challenging itinerary runs, and a large interconnected ski area across the 4 Valleys. The resort is frequently described as expensive across accommodation, food, and drinks, though many feel the quality justifies the cost. Advanced riders praise the steep mogul fields, tree runs, and backcountry access, while several note limited beginner-friendly terrain. Après-ski receives mixed feedback—some enjoy the bars and nightlife (particularly Farinet and Pub Mont Fort), while others find it less vibrant than expected or note that it happens in town rather than on-slope. Lift infrastructure is generally efficient with short queues outside peak times, though the main Médran lift can be busy during holidays.

Top ski resort. Good resort. Most is above 2k meters so well above the snowline. Loads of expert off piste runs to satisfy the nerd to ski.

Great resort for advanced skiing as lots of itineraries and off piste opportunities for touring.
Apres was great, particularly the farinet, the pub mt gory and ice cube.
Some slopes for beginners but they can however be busy during holiday times.
Lots of great restaurants and hotel options.

Verbier is a freeriders paradise! The skiable off-piste terrain direct from the lift system is amazing and if youre prepared to hike you can be skiing first tracks long after the last snow fall.
I would say the resort lacks the wide cruiser pistes that can be found in some of the big French resorts. However, the Sav and La Tsoumas areas are more accommodating to beginner skiers.
Away from the slopes Verbier has a great après scene and a variety of high quality restaurants. The only real downside is that accommodation can be hard to find and often very costly.
When its on in Verbier it is one of the very best ski areas in the world. Those of you that have experienced it will surely agree that its well worth spending the extra money!

Verbier is simply second to none. It is my favourite resort for a reason. Easy access to all 4 valleys, you can always find less crowded places to ski if you know where to go. Top notch skiing, top notch apres. Just fantastic.

I was in Verbier for 2 weeks doing my Basi level 2 ski instructing course. This gave me the chance to explore a rather large portion of the resort. We had a chance to ride the bumps off-piste try some fresh powder and do technicals on the piste. Also at the top of mont fort theres a run with some serious bumps, if thats your style to really test your skills. The food options i found here to be pretty good they had self service in most restaurant on the resort offering stone baked pizzas. Burgers, lasagne, bolognese and many more for your pallet. So the food was no worries but be prepared to spend a 20-30euros on your lunch, daily this will end up hurting the pockets. The M25 run is super wide and has steeper areas of the slopes to allow you the space to practice your technique without having to worry so much about the traffic. The Euro Championship was also on at the time i was down which was around mid February so that gives you an option to relax have a few drinks and enjoy the show. The free ride world tour competition was also on after i left. Falling late February to see the skiers taking some crazy off piste runs. Unfortunately i missed this but it would've been a sight to see. I would personally say Verbier is the place to be for free ride, off-piste and bumps as i noticed the other resorts i visited this season did not offer much of these options.

Love this resort. Lovely town with delicious restaurants and great bars with apres. The whole town is accessible through its bus system making it easy to get to the ski lifts in the town and back to your accommodation. The skiing is great with access to neighbouring towns and mountains so there is lots to ski. Theres a good variety of different style pistes and some great itinerary runs. There is always things going on in the town such as little brand pop ups as well as things going on up the slopes such as the free ride world tour which one can watch. Overall a great town to stay in with lots to do.

After spending 2 months in verbier skiing. Every day I did not get bored because there are so many options and different slopes with all kinds of terrain which was amazing. I did a race camp. The instructors were incredible ex World Cup skiers. but I thought the only problem is that there wasnt enough apres bars
Such as the follie douche as the perfect example but overall I had a really really good time would definitely recommend. But a good point to note is that the transport around the resort stops at about 9 pm. And in general, everything is priced a lot higher than other resorts.

If looking for expert terrain and the passion for freeriding, look no further. Skiing in Verbier gravitates to freeride in truly alpine terrain. The station is the western part of the 4 Valley region allowing for extensively long groomed tracks that will easily consume your day(s). Powder hounds need to catch first lift as the fast off-piste terrain gets skied out rapidly. Have your wide skis prepared. There are no other stations that can compete with Verbier for the adoption of free riding by both the environment and passionados. Social life after skiing is readily available in abundance, just to share experiences and prepare for the days too come.

A great resort. Access to the 4 valleys. Transport is effortless via plane/train. Access from Geneva airport is good. Gondola goes from Le Chable station straight into town at the Medran lift. Lots of groomed pistes to keep you entertained. Lots of Itineraires too, great with a guide to show you the hidden spots if you have avalanche kit. Regular bus service throughout the resort free with ski pass. Apres in Le Fer a Cheval, Mont Fort, Offshore and others. Lively nightlife with a few clubs and bars you can party until morning. There is now a lot of Russian influence which is a negative, they spoil the clubs/bars, no clue on running door staff and some have lost their friendly appeal. The accomodation is expensive and ski hire. Local food is good, fondue, croutè, snails etc. Overall though a great resort.

Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful resort. A lot of freeride, powder zones. Very slow organisation for grooming or preventing avalanches in non groomed zone. Would benefit from a faster and more equipped staff.

Massive ski area and top notch terrain, whether that is groomed or off piste. Going down Tortin to nendaz is always fun and you will have access to all 4 vallees. Including bubble lift to Bruson on powder days and bus to savoleyres to access quieter pistes during peak.

Verbier is a large ski resort that has its ups and downs. The best this about it was the amount of runs that were available. There were 3 separate mountains available to ski each with their own challenges. When I went it was quite busy and it was very difficult to find any quiet runs. The main Verbier resort did not have an extensive snow park at the time which was a bit surprise to me since the resort is so large. Après ski was lively with Mardi Gras going on and there was a range of shopping to do in the town from Luxury outlets to quaint boutiques. I was even able to do rock climbing while there.

Had a great long weekend visit here. Some great longer carving runs, and gorgeous views (we had clear blue skies). Good mogul fields and challenging runs at the higher parts of the resort.
