Cervinia - Breuil Review Summary
Cervinia attracts intermediate and advanced skiers drawn to high-altitude, snow-sure terrain with wide, well-groomed red runs and access to Zermatt via the lift connection. Reviewers consistently mention reliable snow conditions, quiet pistes, efficient lift systems, and good-value Italian restaurants both on-mountain and in the village. The resort suits families and those seeking relaxed skiing over lively nightlife, with après described as limited but friendly. Wind is frequently cited as an issue, often closing upper lifts and the Zermatt link. Most users note the resort is better suited to skiers than snowboarders due to flat sections, and some mention a lack of challenging terrain on the Italian side alone.

Overall, Cervinia was a beautiful little place. The ski school were friendly and the terrain was perfect to learn on. The food in town was surprisingly mediocre and I expected a better standard, given the hype over Italian food. The scenery was stunning and every morning, we were treated to the view of the Matterhorn, bathed in orange light. Truly wonderful!
Overall, as birthday presents go, it was a lovely thought but I would select my accommodation more carefully.
Overall a great resort to explore.
The resort offers many km of wonderful pistes which are very snow sure due to the village height. The runs are varied and cater for all levels. Our youngest member took private lessons on a 1-1 basis which we couldnt recommend more, these took place from Plan Maison. The resort is better catered for on piste skiing compared with off piste. We took full area passes on a couple of days and skied over to Zermatt which was breathtaking. Although be sure to check the lifts to access the Swiss side are open before purchasing as when winds pick up lifts are often closed. We got caught out once! It is possible to ski over to Zermatt early and enjoy a number of runs on the Swiss side before returning to Cervinia, this is a brilliant day out skiing!
We look forward to visiting again.
From this resort you can easily ski over into Zermatt which is a nice day out. Food is relatively cheap to eat out compared to lots of other ski resorts. The village itself is great as well with lots of accommodation of varying quality and price.
