Cervinia - Breuil Review Summary
Cervinia attracts intermediate and advanced skiers drawn to high-altitude, snow-sure terrain with wide, well-groomed red runs and access to Zermatt via the lift connection. Reviewers consistently mention reliable snow conditions, quiet pistes, efficient lift systems, and good-value Italian restaurants both on-mountain and in the village. The resort suits families and those seeking relaxed skiing over lively nightlife, with après described as limited but friendly. Wind is frequently cited as an issue, often closing upper lifts and the Zermatt link. Most users note the resort is better suited to skiers than snowboarders due to flat sections, and some mention a lack of challenging terrain on the Italian side alone.

In the town there is plenty of bars and restaurants all reasonably priced, overall we had great holiday and would recommend this resort a 9 out of 10.
It is an excellent ski area and you can easily ski over to Zermatt making it one of the best combined areas in Europe.
Combined with great hospitality, lovely local people and snow sure skiing things one of the best resorts to ski in Italy and Europe.
Positives
Very friendly resort
Great food and drink options
Good value
Link to Zermatt
Downsides
Not all runs open and snowparks were not complete early season.
High winds closed whole resort one day.
My best tip is don't buy a week pass and just buy one day at a time. We bought a 6 day pass but then upgraded to an international pass for one day to visit Zermatt and also had one day that the lifts were closed. At the end of the week we worked out we would have saved money by just buying one day at a time.
This Italian delightful has charm, beautiful landscapes and great skiing. There is a load of piste to ski and you certainly wont get bored with the array of bars on offer, including Happys and Love.
The food options are great and its all quite affordable, you cant go wrong here. If you prefer off piste then hop on the zermatt link to find an abundance. Zermatt oozes wealth and Italian lift infrastructure of Cervinia is somewhat lacking by comparison. You will likely find yourself splitting your time equally between both. Careful though! The taxi back from Zermatt will cost you the price of your trip so dont miss that final lift back!
To get better every time. Great places to eat on and off the mountain with brilliant apres bars. Theres also other activities to in the resort which makes it better for people who dont like to ski or snowboard as much.
Would definitely recommend
Best thing is quick lifts and you are in the wonderful Zermatt with its varied skiing great restaurants, but dont have to pay to stay there!
Best for intermediate and expert skiers with a variety of runs and plenty of vertical drop.
Italian side nicer than Swiss and much better value.
Good mountain restaurants on the Italian side.
Parking can be a problem and taking the lift from Valtournanche is a good way to access.
