What Skiers Say About Les Menuires

Les Menuires is primarily reviewed by intermediate and advanced skiers who value its central position in the Three Valleys system, allowing easy access to Méribel, Val Thorens, and Courchevel. Most users highlight the extensive skiing options, efficient lift system, and significantly lower accommodation costs compared to neighbouring resorts. The resort is consistently described as family-friendly with good ski schools, though many note the purpose-built architecture lacks charm and the après-ski scene is quieter than Val Thorens or Méribel. Several reviewers mention busy pistes during peak periods, particularly school holidays, and crowded runs at the base of the resort.

This is a great family friendly resort. The runs are great although, like any resort get a little tired and worn towards the main centre, croisette. It has some great none ski activities and the indoor shopping centre is really good. Highly recommend this Three Valleys resort.

Les menuires is the perfect resort for families. There are plenty of ski in, ski out accommodations all over the resort which is based over different altitudes with a free bus running between them. (This bus runs late so even after the lifts have stopped running, there is plenty of scope for skiing and snowboarding in the evening. )La Masse is one of the best off piste areas in Europe with plenty of fresh powder snow to be found even a week or two after a snowfall. The apres ski is a bit quiet but not to be sniffed at, there are plenty of cool bars with terraces to enjoy the afternoon sun and a snack. It's on the cheaper side of things, especially for the three valleys which can be accessed easily from Les menuires. Val Thorens is very close by.

I went as quite an inexperienced skiier but despite this I had a wonderful time and had so many slopes to explore. The three valleys can not be beaten for variety! Wonderful bars and restaurants with super friendly staff and not too long waits for ski lifts. Would love to go back.

Had a really dint time skiing, had lessons for 2 days and they really helped as Id never skied before and helped me get a good grasp in the resort. Food and nightlife where very good, had way to many pizzas. Not as expensive as Val Thorens but nearly just as good

We stayed in the Aire as we were in a motorhome.
Excellent experience.
We were late in the season, but a 3 valleys pass so conditions were excellent other than the decent back into the village, which was very slushy.
Always managed to get a table for lunch and a beer on the slopes.

The 3 valleys is amazing but the resort was a bit run down and dated. The runs were 95% of the time powdery with only a couple icy peaks. The apres is the best in the region! Too much of Val Thoren to explore but hope to go back soon!

What a trip?! The 3 valleys has been the perfect destination for family ski trips since I was young. We come back as much as we can and are never disappointed. Even in a low snow year we were able to get out and ski everyday without fail, avoiding some slushy patches. The variety is perfect and any trip is adaptable to whatever you need. All ski levels are catered for, with nursery and beginner slopes right up to challenging advanced tracks. There is no lack of options for food and drink both on and off the slopes, and the atmosphere is always fantastic wherever you chose to apres. This is a massive ski area with the best facilities imaginable. Couldnt recommend it enough! Even in peak times the resort is vast enough that youre not troubled by too many other skiers. I love this area and will continue to return for as long as I can!!

Les Menuires is a great resort, plenty of options for eating. Good access to wider 3V skiing. Pointe de La Masse great viewing area.

Good ski school options for children.

Can get busy in poor weather when the links are not open. As mainly alpine terrain and lack of trees suffers in poor visibility a bit.

Plenty of apres options and restauraunts. Recommend RocSeven at top of Roc 1 lift.

We stayed in chalet du soleil in Les Menuires. Beautiful place and great runs, its pretty high resort (2100m or so) so we had good reliable snow. Great wide runs for beginners and instructors good. Only thing is that there were only 2/3 restaurants where we were staying and you had to travel a bit to get to apres. Next time I would choose meribel or Val thorens for a bit more of a vibe.

Les menuires is a great family friendly resort. Great for first time boarder/skier or beginners.
Slopes are quiet a lot of the time and rarely queues of more than 5-7 mins at lifts.sone great places to eat at altitude as well as as base. Being park of the 3 valleys ski domain you have access to other resorts such as Val Thorens, Meribel, Meribel mottaret, Courchavel, Lan Tania within minutes via the excellent three valley connections.

Les Menuires is a quiet resort but very close to the busier Val Thorne. We stayed in a ski-in-out hotel. Lifts were very fast. We managed to ski the entire three valleys in a day. Lots of green and blue runs for beginners. I managed to do my very ever black runs on this trip. Slopes are huge and lots of space

Les Menuires is a really family friendly resort, with a great range of pistes and access to the 3 Vallées. Although not the prettiest resort, its convenience and atmosphere makes up for it. And you can just pop over the mountain to the prettier Meribel or Courcheval resorts for a fix of tree lined runs and traditional resort appeal.
I love it!
