What Skiers Say About Les Menuires

Les Menuires is primarily reviewed by intermediate and advanced skiers who value its central position in the Three Valleys system, allowing easy access to Méribel, Val Thorens, and Courchevel. Most users highlight the extensive skiing options, efficient lift system, and significantly lower accommodation costs compared to neighbouring resorts. The resort is consistently described as family-friendly with good ski schools, though many note the purpose-built architecture lacks charm and the après-ski scene is quieter than Val Thorens or Méribel. Several reviewers mention busy pistes during peak periods, particularly school holidays, and crowded runs at the base of the resort.

Les Menuires is a charming little resort which gives you access to the 3 valleys for less money than staying in one of the main 3. As experienced skiers we found areas that were quieter and also were able to ski across the valleys in a morning and back again (whilst our kids were in ski school) I did feel that there aren't many green slopes near the bottom which would be suitable to take kids on after ski school as a family, it could do with some runs like Belcotte in Courcheval. Overall its a lovely resort with other amenities to entertain tired little people in the afternoon. We found some nice reasonably priced places to eat and drink.

We went for a short break before Christmas very early in the season. There wasn’t a huge amount of natural snow but good coverage from the snow cannons. Les menuires was a good base but you had a lot of lift hopping to get over to Méribel or courchevel. Although it’s a large resort it didn’t feel it, after about 4 days I felt like I’d covered all of the ground and was repeating what I’d already done. All in all a nice play to stay but not my favourite for variety

Had an amazing time, it is extremely busy here and the skiers are very pushy but there are so many slopes to choose from and the staff are really helpful. Loads of shops in the centre of town selling ski gear.

First week of the season - only had a pass for Les Menuires but more pistes/lifts were open than advertised.

There was a little rave on opening night and the resort felt busy but the pistes and lifts were so quiet!

Amazing snow dump right before we arrived and amazing weather while we were there. Higher powder was amazing. Slushy slopes lower down particularly in the afternoon.

Excellent resort - would return with the full 3 valleys pass!

Good variety of runs, no trees, some amazing off piste if you know where to find it. Lifts can be a bit slow when it's busy. Lots to do in the town centre and many restaurants to choose from. Great apres bars.

We stayed in Reberty with a ski in ski out location. There are also free buses which are great, very frequent and run late. Really big ski area across the three valleys, would definitely return and certainly recommend

I am a beginner skier and this was my first trip and it was amazing! I did ski school in the mornings which were perfect for me, I got to explore more and feel confident. In the afternoon I would go down with my partner who would be expert level. The lifts were amazing access we went late Jan the snow was great and it was quiet we had no waiting times. The cost of food and excursions were cheap!! We found a leisure centre and spent the evening in the pool spa, highly recommended! We are going again next month but a different part of the 3 Valleys!

I visit Les menuires every year and I love it. Easy to access anywhere in the 3 valleys with the pass too. On a clear day Le Masse gives stunning views.

Great vibes from the locals and the seasonaires. My favourite place to go after snowboarding is Le Skilt! Great food, affordable drinks and have entertainment throughout the week. The staff there are all great.

This resort is perfect for both beginners and intermediate to advanced skiers as it offers a huge range of runs. Most accommodations are Ski and Ski out and many have luxury spa options also. The resort is compact but there is easy access to the full three valleys if you get bored of the local runs. Lots of nice restaurants to try and great apres Ski.
