What Skiers Say About Les Arcs
Les Arcs attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with intermediate skiers being particularly well-served. Reviewers consistently mention the vast ski area, especially when linked with La Plagne via the Paradiski pass, offering extensive terrain that prevents boredom over a week. The lift system is generally praised for efficiency and minimal queuing, though some mention increased crowds in recent years due to new all-inclusive hotels. Après-ski receives positive feedback, particularly venues like Folie Douce and L'Arpette in Arc 1800. Several users note good value compared to other French resorts, convenient access via funicular from Bourg-St-Maurice, and reliable snow conditions due to altitude. Common criticisms include limited nightlife and restaurant options in some villages (particularly Arc 2000), crowded narrow sections on certain runs, and an abundance of flat connecting tracks that frustrate snowboarders.

Eating out options a little limited at night with most very busy requiring to be pre booked. Reasonably priced.
Eating on the mountain , many restaurants across the slopes , get busy at lunch time but fairly quiet between 2-3. Good selection of food available.
If staying in very centre around the Sherpa can be very noisy in the early hours of the morning when the nigh club closes.
Lifts run like clock work with very little issue though the aguille rouge lift always very busy even though I would not say overly worth the trip up in the cable car .
Unfortunately like any resort lots of skiers bombing about without much Control but that is more about the skiers than the resort itself.
Fun après inc a Folly Douche. The runs link you up to Le Plagne also.
Feel like it’s called Paradiski for a reason as composed to other resorts there were a lot of narrow runs ideal for the skiers or the bombing boarders, maybe not so suited to the boarders that like wide turns.
Lifts were generally good, not much waiting time at all.
Plenty of apres ski at 1800. Would go back.
Arc 1950 really beautiful little village.
A bit more expensive than some other resorts but really enjoyable.
