What Skiers Say About Les Arcs

Les Arcs attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with intermediate skiers being particularly well-served. Reviewers consistently mention the vast ski area, especially when linked with La Plagne via the Paradiski pass, offering extensive terrain that prevents boredom over a week. The lift system is generally praised for efficiency and minimal queuing, though some mention increased crowds in recent years due to new all-inclusive hotels. Après-ski receives positive feedback, particularly venues like Folie Douce and L'Arpette in Arc 1800. Several users note good value compared to other French resorts, convenient access via funicular from Bourg-St-Maurice, and reliable snow conditions due to altitude. Common criticisms include limited nightlife and restaurant options in some villages (particularly Arc 2000), crowded narrow sections on certain runs, and an abundance of flat connecting tracks that frustrate snowboarders.

We stayed in bourg st Maurice at the bottom of the mountain and caught the fenniculaire up daily. There weee so many options for all abilities of skiers, we as a family skied mainly blues and greens with some reds. All pistes were well groomed and had plenty of room on. Chairs and other lifts were efficient and queues were minimal. We had a big dump of snow partway through the holiday which helped with variety but previous to this the resort still had almost all pistes open despite lack of recent snowfall. This place is great for families, couples and single travellers. We will definitely be returning.

Snow was actually pretty decent above about 1800m, lower runs were a bit patchy but that’s kinda expected that late in the season. Higher up skiiing was still good fun and held up well through the week. As it was end of season there wasnt loads of choice for eating out, quite a few places shut, but what was open was fine. Ski school was really good, instructors were sound and knew what they were doing. Overall had a good time, chilled vibe, would defo recommend it to mates, esp if going mid season rather than right at the end.

Les arcs was fabulous, apres was awesome, the hotel was clean and had amazing views of the mountains, ski hire in the hotel too so easy to hire and return, only downfall was the local town wasn’t very welcoming to English we were ignored a lot when we went to eat out often turned away, other than that really enjoyed les arcs and would defo return

Great place for skiers though slightly less challenging for boarders. The runs are wide and long enough for a good workout. Friendly French which is unusual for Ski slopes where we normally find they can be a bit precious ;). However the people we interacted with were friendly, fun and helpful. Ski Supreme offer excellent Ski turion and special shout out to Vitorrio who my whole group loved for his perpetual happy smile and superb instruction.

Lovely resort, with a good mix of runs for our mixed ability group of skiers and snowboarders to be able to spend time on runs together and also split and rejoin easily too. Great ski in/out accommodation in arc 2000, easy access to the pretty 1950 on the pedestrian gondola in the evenings. Our 14-17 year olds had a blast on NYE (and the parents likewise!)

Stayed in the Belambra club Arc 2000 half board for a week Jan 25. This is the 3rd time in Les Arcs, second time at Arc 2000.
Absolutely love the place. Plenty of area to ski for everyone, La Foile Douce is amazing, every time we've been we've had awesome snow conditions.
Been 3 times in groups of 20+ with skiers and boarders of all abilities. Ski schools are great too for the less experienced skiers. Great atmosphere, great après, brilliant for families. Will definitely return.

Skies her for the opening week of the season, meaning uncrowded runs and zero queuing for lifts. Perfect conditions for skiers like me who try to maximises the amount of skiing done during the trip.

Plenty of great off pistes available and easy to navigate. Some more high level off pistes are also easily accessible with a guide. Loved my stay here and would come again in a heartbeat.

I love Les Arc, great lift system and choice of pistes. The snow park is awesome and I was able to build up to the biggest kickers I’ve ever done. It’s worth dropping into Les Arc 1950 as it is very picturesque.

Les Arcs is a brilliant place to ski, and more importantly learn how to if you’re a total beginner. I had the good fortune of a friend to teach me on my own first ski trip, but made friends with people who raved about the ski school. There’s a perfect blend of the first purple of day greens and the blues when you’re gaining confidence! Visiting again in a few days and can’t wait to conquer the Les Arcs reds and maybe even black runs.
