What Skiers Say About Les Arcs

Les Arcs attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with intermediate skiers being particularly well-served. Reviewers consistently mention the vast ski area, especially when linked with La Plagne via the Paradiski pass, offering extensive terrain that prevents boredom over a week. The lift system is generally praised for efficiency and minimal queuing, though some mention increased crowds in recent years due to new all-inclusive hotels. Après-ski receives positive feedback, particularly venues like Folie Douce and L'Arpette in Arc 1800. Several users note good value compared to other French resorts, convenient access via funicular from Bourg-St-Maurice, and reliable snow conditions due to altitude. Common criticisms include limited nightlife and restaurant options in some villages (particularly Arc 2000), crowded narrow sections on certain runs, and an abundance of flat connecting tracks that frustrate snowboarders.

An incredible resort, with so many groomed runs you'll spend the whole week discovering something new. From beginner to advanced there is so much on offer.
Les Arcs 1800 is the best for apres with a pedestrian accessible Folie Douce and plenty around the town.
Dining options can be a bit limited as they get very busy.

Les Arcs - La Plagne, Parisdiski was an excellent ski location. So many runs that you couldn't be bored, great value for money and a great place for newbies that I took with me for their first time. This location is sorely underrated.

Good skiing, paradiski better option. Often got quite busy, but had a good range of runs. Quite a few unpiested runs for reds and blacks which was nice.

I went for new years when I was a little younger and I’ll never forget it, my family and I had such a good time. We stayed at Les arcs 1900 I’m pretty sure and it was beautiful! I love how big the resort is connected to la plagne as it gives so much options of where to go. Only downside is that i remember it being quite busy at times but quite a lot of France is like that

A very good, all round resort. As a park-focused skier, their improvements to the park over the last year or so was really a turning point for the resort. They have lots of variation in their on-piste runs, with a notable mention being the Aiguille Rouge. A highly recommended visit!

Large resort with options for all, skied a full day every day for a week and still didn’t get round all the runs. Experienced skier but beginners in group had plenty of runs, well connected pistes, and lots of safe off piste skiing.
Stayed in Les Coches, very nice village feel, suitable for families. The bakery is fantastic!
Good aprés options, Folie is harder to get back from in the evening though depending on where you stay.

I've visited this resort twice, and would visit again for sure! It's one of the largest ski areas, with practically everything you need on a ski resort. The accommodation options are fantastic, with a range of locations and types. Options for food are also great, with a mix of restaurants to choose from. There is something for everyone in this resort!

A fabulous resort with lots to offer including Le Plagne ski area. Variety of slopes with nice tree lined runs in 1800 and 1600 as well as down to Peisey and Vallandry. Augille Rouge lift to above 2000 has some great runs at the top of if your not feeling that a lovely long cruisey blue from the top of Varet lift instead. Most apres is on the 1800 side but a bus takes you to all altitudes and villages. Great apres at L’Arpette followed by either last lifts home of a sunset session at Folie Douce. Les Arcs has it all and is great for families and one of the more budget friendly options in the Alps

Les Arcs was a great all round resort! I stayed in 1800 and it had a good range of different levels of accommodation from budget to luxury. Plenty of ski equipment rental shops to choose from along with shops to buy gear too. Lots of options for eating out again ranging from budget to luxury. Including on the mountain too. But they also had a few supermarkets for self catering needs which was great. Plenty of fun bars and a few clubs for those post ski nights out! Apres wasn’t quite the level of some of the other famous resorts but we still found a good spot everyday and could enjoy drinks and a dance on the tables. The runs themselves were long and winding which I enjoy, snowpark was lots of fun even for beginners and I loved taking the gondola all the way to the top to take the longest combination of runs down! Overall I think a great starter resort or a good all rounder for groups with people of different capabilities!

The resort has a large amount of runs (linked with La Plagne) and very short lift queues even in school holidays. There’s not much variety in the restaurants and most of the accommodation is self catering and a bit dated but it still has some charm.
