What Skiers Say About Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes attracts a mixed crowd of beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with families and groups of friends in their twenties being common. The high altitude consistently delivers good snow conditions, and the lift system—particularly the new Jandri lift—receives widespread praise for minimal queuing. Reviewers frequently mention the lively après-ski scene at Pano Bar and Umbrella Bar, though opinions on the skiing area size vary, with some feeling the advertised piste kilometres overstate the actual terrain. The lower slopes, particularly the narrow runs back to the village at the end of the day, are repeatedly criticised for being icy, overcrowded, and challenging. Most visitors appreciate the range of restaurants and bars in the town, though some note limited and expensive on-mountain dining options.

Not a bad place to go. I’ve been snowboarding for about 23 years, and enjoyed my time here. My accommodation was good, when we finally got in! Lovely apartment, but failed to tell us we couldn’t get in until 11am, and arrived at 8am, so not the best start hanging around with all of our luggage for hours until the shop holding our keys would release them.

Other than that at the start, it was great. Fantastic views, good selection of piste, and reliable lifts, with a gondola taking you to the very top runs. All really accessible, but as we were late season, the lower runs were slushy by 2pm, but no issues at the top!

Mrs broke her wrist within an hour, but it was her first time on a mountain, and can’t really blame the resort for that! She’s back with a titanium plate now and all good!

Good selection of places to eat and drink, would reccomend a visit.

We had a brilliant time on the slopes. There are a few green runs, though they can be quite narrow, but once you head higher up the mountain the blue runs open out beautifully — wider, smoother, and much more enjoyable. There’s also plenty of off‑piste terrain. I didn’t try it myself, but the more advanced skiers in our group were full of praise for it.

The ski lifts were excellent and made it really easy to get around, whether you’re skiing or just walking. Bars are dotted all around the mountain, creating a great atmosphere for après‑ski. Just keep in mind that the lifts close shortly after 5pm, so after a drink you’ll be skiing back down.

The surrounding area is lovely too, with plenty of bars and shops. “The Spot” is an absolute must — the burgers are incredible and the food and drinks are very reasonably priced.

Overall, we had a fantastic trip and would happily come back again without hesitation.

I went as a resort rep. L2A has lovely runs from the top of the mountain however further down it does get congested and busy (very chaos at the end of the day). L2A does night skiing one night a week which is fun. There is good apres at Pano Bar and Umbrella bar and nice bars for the evening such as Smithy’s. A nice ski resort however it does feel a little smaller than other places I have been before.

Les 2 Alpes is awesome, especially if you like reliable snow and long runs. Going from top to bottom is a great run, and the views are insane, you can see all of the Alpes. The lift system is pretty efficient but does stop occasionally. though it does get a bit busy sometimes. There’s a good mix of runs for different levels, I only did green and blue though, and the après-ski scene is good if you like a drink. Overall, a solid choice for both beginners and more experienced skiers.

Excellent resort, very busy but it’s big so it doesn’t really feel so busy. Was expecting busy lifts due to the time of year (Feb half term) but only really felt busy in the morning but if you time your first lift right it was no problem. Excellent resort and would definitely go back. Traveled with wife and 14year old son and 10year old daughter.

My first time on the mountains was unforgettable at les 2 alpes. A brilliant selection of intermediate runs and my friends enjoyed the blacks although they said the grading was pretty tough there! The whole trip was fantastic, especially the apres. They had cheap pints at the pano bar at specific times which was fantastic.

We had an amazing time as a group of friends with 2 friends learning how to ski while at the resort. We had only one 2 hour lesson for them and there were so many beginner pistes to choose from that they were intermediate in no time. We skied from the top of the mountain to the bottom. A very unique experience with complete beginners and an amazing all round resort. We’ll be back for sure!
