What Skiers Say About La Plagne

La Plagne attracts primarily beginner and intermediate skiers, with families and mixed-ability groups featuring prominently. Users consistently mention the vast ski area and extensive blue and red runs, plus lift-linked access to Les Arcs via the Paradiski pass. Snow reliability is frequently praised due to high altitude, and the lift system receives positive remarks for efficiency outside peak times. The resort is described as family-friendly and quieter than some alternatives, though multiple reviewers note that nightlife and après options are limited compared to livelier resorts. Queues and crowded pistes are mentioned during school holidays and at certain bottleneck lifts, particularly around Plagne Bellecôte in the afternoon. Food quality on the mountain is generally well-regarded, though prices are noted as high.

A great resort with access to a huge ski area. The town itself is quiet and family friendly, but still with plenty of options of things to do like bowling, eating out, bars and quizzes.

La Plagne was the first resort I visited as a beginner snowboarder. The lessons were fantastic and I was zooming around in no time, with a good level of challenging difficulties for beginner to advanced riders. Facilities are nice, the food is amazing, especially the cheese and wine shop! Good fun placed for families and non-families, queues werent mega long and all in all an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Stayed in the la plagne area a few times, really enjoyed the time there. It is well connected with route across to les arc.Plagne central is a bit of an ugly purpose built resort but once youve away from there it is stunningly beautiful. Stayed in Montalbert which is lovely, not a great deal of nightlife but good for families

Good varied resort perfect for families. Each village has a very different feel and although a lot of apres and evening entertainment about it can be difficult to get between the villages if youre not staying in 1800, Plagne centre or Bellecote.

Excellent choice of ski runs, lots of different areas to ski. Mogul parts as well as groomed runs. Little choice of off piste/powder after 1 day of snow.

I visit La Plagne when i want a rest from Val Thorens, La Plagne has a super family vibe, but there is plenty of night life if you want it.Ive swam in the public outdoor pool, heated to 32 degrees whilst it snowed on us, Bliss.Food is easily attainable if your self catering and affordable if your eating out. Belle Plagne, is beautiful but very quiet at night with limited eateries. If you want a good high altitude, and good snow then la Plagne makes a nice change. It also has a large ski area

Loved it here as a beginner-intermediate skier. Mostly blue runs with some reds and challenging blacks. The prevelance of the blue runs pushes you to learn quickly. The lifts are well looked after and efficient, we stayed in Les Coches which was easy to access from any of the 3 valleys. Despite snow conditions not being perfect we had lots of options. If visibility was poor in one valley, we could comfortably move to better conditions. We stayed in a catered chalet and the service was great. Local town was friendly with reasonable options.

La Plagne offers a wonderful skiing experience, especially for beginners. The resort provides an impressive range of slopes catering to those new to skiing, making it an excellent choice for building confidence on the snow. The ski-in, ski-out accommodations are a standout feature, offering unparalleled convenience. Its such a joy to step right onto the slopes from where youre staying without the hassle of long commutes or shuttles. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with stunning alpine views adding to the charm. Theres a sense of ease and accessibility that makes it ideal for couples looking for a mix of activity and leisure. The après-ski at La Bonnet and Chalet de lArpette added such a lively and cosy touch to your skiing days. Chalet de lArpette, in particular, had the most scenic views, creating the perfect spot to take a break. We also did paragliding with AirPlagne The breathtaking aerial views of La Plagnes snowy expanse were unforgettable.

Had a lovely trip with 9 friends in a lovely chalet. Ski lifts were really close to most chalets. Great bars and restaurants both high up and at bottom of mountains. La bergerie was a great alternative to Folie if skiing in La Plagne with availability to ski over to les Arcs and go to the Folie Douce there.Overall great weather, great atmosphere and great selection of slopes for different levels. Best place to go if you like a lot of blue runs. Great snow during our time there.

A great resort for a quiet week away, huge skiable area due to the connection with Les Arcs, a pretty village, and good range of difficulties on the pistes. Snow sure, with a few ungroomed slopes for those who like powder but want to stay as safe as possible. A few older lifts and not much apres, but overall a great place. Ideal if you're staying in a chalet with friends, meant to be perfect for boarders. Loads of pretty safe off piste/side country, lots of which is obvious and doesn't need a guide

We loved Belle plagne, a lovely ski down into Bellecôte which is the hub of the ski lifts which start your journey to other parts of the map. Plenty of blue slopes but maybe could do with some more red/black slopes.

Great resort, and links to Les Arcs which is a huge plus as it doubles the size ski area. Not a lot of easily accessible off-piste, but very beginner friendly. This is because all runs are 1 lift away from a village, so easy to find your way home. Villages all linked by bus.Okay apres ski, there is Bergerie on the piste, but not too many fun bars and clubs. La Mine is good in plagne 1800.
