What Skiers Say About Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain attracts a wide range of visitors from beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers highlighting it as the largest and most accessible resort in Southern Ontario, particularly for those travelling from Toronto and the GTA. The village at the base receives consistent praise for its atmosphere, dining options, and additional activities beyond skiing. Reviewers repeatedly mention that weekdays offer a much better experience than weekends, when lift queues become significantly longer and crowds impact enjoyment. Snow conditions are variable, with artificial snowmaking maintaining coverage but reviewers frequently noting icy patches and limited natural powder. Pricing is a common criticism, with many users stating lift tickets, food, and accommodation are expensive relative to what the resort offers compared to larger destinations.

Hill is ok but gets really busy making the experience not so great. The cost is also way too high for what you get. Maintenance is good.

More of a hill than a mountain. But fun weekend getaway. No powder and runs are super easy. Great for beginners but If youre a serious snow enthusiast save your money.

Best to visit week days, weekend can get very busy, conditions can also get icy being in eastern Canada. Line ups can get messy as some staff tend to ignore their duties

A fun, family friendly resort. For an Ontario ski hill, it's the largest, but if you're looking for mountains, you're in the wrong place.

Expensive for what you get. I would rather not ski at this hill. Not even sure if I would consider this as a mountain.

We had a great time at BlueMountain. We had a great time at BlueMountain. The runs were not very steep but then again, what do you expect for Ontario? It does not have a big mountain range. Commendations were cool people were friendly staff was friendly.

Blue Mountain is great but the cost is quite high and it can get very busy on weekends. The instructors are helpful as well. The village has a number of options for food and drinks but again the costs are quite high for what you get.

The village is super nice, lots of great spots to eat and the nightlife is decent too. Its a small hill length wise but it is quite wide with lots of different runs. Kind of the best youll get in Ontario, but tickets are expensive for a full day of skiing.

The best Ontario, Canada has to offer. Can't compare at all to proper mountains in the Rockies, but a great overall experience as far as eastern North America is concerned. Lots of powder in the winter, but if it's dry the wind from the bay makes it fairly icy.
