What Skiers Say About Blue Mountain
Blue Mountain attracts a wide range of visitors from beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers highlighting it as the largest and most accessible resort in Southern Ontario, particularly for those travelling from Toronto and the GTA. The village at the base receives consistent praise for its atmosphere, dining options, and additional activities beyond skiing. Reviewers repeatedly mention that weekdays offer a much better experience than weekends, when lift queues become significantly longer and crowds impact enjoyment. Snow conditions are variable, with artificial snowmaking maintaining coverage but reviewers frequently noting icy patches and limited natural powder. Pricing is a common criticism, with many users stating lift tickets, food, and accommodation are expensive relative to what the resort offers compared to larger destinations.

a bit on the pricey side, however it does have a decent variety of blue and green runs. Main issues being crowdedness and price.
There is lots of terrain which allows for progression from beginner to advanced riders, including a great terrain park.
The village at Blue has a lot of excellent restaurants, with a variety of choices. There are great stores for shopping, from snowboard gear to glasses to spas to high end clothing.
There are 6 hotels, 5 in the village, including the Westin, and hundreds of condos.
Cant express enough what a great vacation experience Blue Mountain is.
All around, it's a good hill for in Ontario, but it's also a hill and not a mountain. So you get what you expect with that.
If you go on the right days, it's a pretty good place.
The Blue Mountain Village is a great spot to grab a bite to eat and/or some drinks with friends, with lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although the prices in the village are quite expensive, all around always a great time at Blue Mountain.
Runs would be roughly 400-600m.
The winter village is quite nice, there's two good dinner options, a bunch more options if you eat earlier or snack.
It is a manufactured snow mini-hill essentially, awesome for racer training etc but not necessarily the spot for big lines.
I had a good time in the park and they had set up some cool features and there was certainly a culture in the park.
The apres ski was excellent, quite pricey but of a high standard
Best food around
Well groomed trails
Reasonable prices for accommodation
Excellent staff
Also for what you get at Blue mountain the price is very high(130$). Went to better ski resorts for the same price out west which causes me to not understand the pricing. Less runs, lower elevation, long lines, rarely powder.
Night life, hotels and activities around are top notch. If you plan to do a day of skiing it is okay but wouldn't be a destination for the skiing. More for spa and relaxation with family. Skiing is just bonus.
It is not a great mountain however. Lots of icy conditions and mud spots. The glades dont get lots of snow which make them hard to enjoy. It is especially difficult when they make snow for the hill when we are on it. If you dont have a face covering it feels like ice shards piercing your skin.
Its a good place when you need a ski fix! But beyond that I would spend the extra money and go to a better option.
